I am trying to locate the article from today’s show about Joy’s fit club who lost 132 pounds, but unable to find it on your sight. It would help me a lot to have the information sent to me please.Your website is not friendly user’s at all.
I have a junior in an out of state college. The tuition is around $22,000 per year. I am a Financial Adviser by profession. I of course welcome second opinions from other experts.
We have used Direct Loans to cover all tuition, room and board for the 3 years he as attended so far. My wife and myself started savings in a Virginia qualified 529 plan and have accumulated so far approximately the balance of the loans due to monthly deposits and market growth. I have requested forbearance annually on each loan to defer the loans until he graduates. I have also been paying the accrued interest quarterly as well. The interest on the loans is around 6.2%. Pretty high for a parent loan but the lowest company I could find that would allow you to request the payback be deferred until graduation. The interest or growth on the investments in the 529 plan has averaged 11.3% so far since we started.
It makes sense to me to borrow what you need at the lower than average interest rates for student loans, invest the money in a tax qualified plan and hope to with some informed choices to grow monies at a greater interest rate before and while he is still attending college. At the least 6 to 8 years. Of course there are no guarantees on the growth of the 529 investments but the market historically has beat the average student loan rate over at least that period of time. and definitely if you can start to save earlier than 8 years before college starts.
What are your thoughts on this. I greatly appreciate any response.
If Britany’s body guard was so worried about the children then why did he wait till after he was fired to say anything. Give me a break, how would all parents rate if they had people following them around all the time. The body guards attorney needs to find a new profession, she just tries to make a name for herself on other peoples misery.

On the 23rd you folks ran a I-pod Section, at the end a jingle came on about she wants an I-pod and she will get one if she sucks………..
Try sitting on the couch with a 12 year old who wants an I-POD and explaining to them, after refusing to get one for her, what the above jingle meant.
I just told her that folks that make alot of money, spoil the kids, have the ability to be stupid and ignaorant because they can afford to do so, and we have yet to earn that rite, and frankly do not care to
I would like a list of the products used on the segment re/Give Your Face A New Look. I watch the show daily and find that you do not always give the most important informatiom about a segment!
I do enjoy all of you!
Thanks!
Segment ran Monday, Sept. 24, 2007.
I think the Today Show is wonderful and have watched it since I can remember! Since you have another hour in the mornings I do have an opinion to share. Please give the Scottos and the food segments a little longer to cook and enjoy! It seems like a big rush to end those segments and they deserve more respect. Also like today the segment on hip hop dancing was split and things that are started should just be finished all at once. Makes it easier for the viewers. I hope I did not offend anyone. You all do such a great job! Keep up the good work!
I have been a loyal and avid viewer of the Today for about 20 years…(Jane Pauly days). I did not appreciate the extensive negative comments on the housing market today this AM. Lenders are still loaning on 0 down payment loans….credit score 700 and as low as 620 score with conforming interest rates! 6.50 - 6.875% with conforming loan origination fees. You can still do low down payment loans with low interest rates and low loan fees. You do have to qualify with income, credit, and assets. There are hundreds of loan programs available to finance a home today!
I live and work in the Portland, Oregon area and we have motivated sellers…we need motivated buyers and your show today did not help.
Just a general comment. I’ve been a Today Show and NBC fan for years. What has happened to the Today show? Fluff, Fluff,Fluff. Now there’s a name the Walrus contest. Get back to news and information. Way too much “lighter notes”. Thank you.
I have always enjoyed the show. Thank you for all doing a great job. I am trying to locate the pack and play recall list. I am using a GRACO for my precious 5 month old granddaughter. It was just purchased from a Wal-Mart in July 2007. This has me very worried.

I just wanted to comment on Jim Cramer’s assement on the housing market on Today’s show. It is very easy to say that the overall housing market is in a “free-fall”, but to say that no one should purchase a house for the next year is irresponsible! That would be like someone saying that no one should purchase stock should the NYSE drop 500 pt. in one day. The real estate market, like the stock market, is based on individual areas, no too are alike. I am a realtor in Tallahassee, Florida and can personally say that our makert is very healthy and not following the path of the rest of the nation!
Gravity and greed. Jim Cramer is not greedy when it comes to truth and lending. How can NAR president do a kubuki dance around Matt’s question?Because he is greedy. Small town,my best friend, corrupt county, city, local banks, and a real estate business cost me everything. My town is ruled by local real estate companies. I do not make false accusations. My information is documented, forged signature, and film. N.W. Ohio has one of the highest foreclousre rates in the country. Thank you Matt and Jim.
The Springsteen concert was GREAT! Can’t wait to get his CD. It was a brilliant move to revamp the program so the concert could be seen in its entirety. NBC ROCKS! June @ Tampa
Talk about an irrational statement!!!! Don’t buy a house for a year? Let’s hope his house doesn’t burn down and he has to rent and then pay someone else’s mortgage. As the President Elect of NAR had to say, it is local. I sell real estate in Anchorage and the Matanuska Valley. The Mat Valley is in somewhat of a freefall, but the Anchorage bowl is good for home sales as it is a buyer’s market. Why would a buyer with any common sense not buy?? If they listen to Jim C, they would all live in fear, like Chicken Little, “The Sky is falling”. Such a broad statement, I feel that I need to go to NAR and have them boycott NBC and CNBC for a week, that is quite a few viewers that watch, as most of my office does. We don’t need broad sweeping statements, I consider him to be an uninformed man=ignorant, he obviously did no research nationwide, including Alaska. Please make sure they (your guests) know what the hell they are talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted to say that i didn’t feel Bill O’reilly made a RACIST REMARK at all. I feel that the media made it a racist remark just to have something to talk about. Shame on the media..
I have to say that I am absolutely appalled by the comments made by Jim Cramer yesterday and today on the Today show. It was completely irresponsible for him to make such a global statement about the housing market and give such ill advise in regards to purchasing a home. HE and the MEDIA are exactly what is wrong with our Real Estate Market today! First of all, the real estate market as a whole has always had cyclical adjustments. The interest rates are still very good compared to some of the tougher times in the past. I sold real estate when the interest rates where 14-16%! In the past people have done very well investing in real estate and will continue to do so. It is a BUYER’S market in many areas across the country right now, why would you advise someone to NOT purchase a home in a Buyer’s market. The average time that a typical buyer stays in a home is 5-7 years. How can someone loose money on a home if they own for at least 5 years, the market will surely come back around by then. Secondly, owning a home is not just about investment, is it not still the American Dream to own a home to raise your family in and provide a safe haven for them to come home to every night as well as the stability that ownership gives? And did we mention the tax advantages to home ownership verses throwing money away on rent! We have 10,000 people moving to our area every month and they ALL need a place to live! I have to say that I am very disappointed in the Today Show for allowing these kind of negative comments and interviews to dominant their air time for 2 days. I am a Realtor and a Home Builder and it is this very kind of negative publicity that is hurting the Real Estate market and putting a lot of people out of work and out of business.
I am very disturbed by the comments that are starting to escalate on the rights of passengers. I totally agree that passengers should not sit on tarmacks for extended hours at a time and I feel the individual airlines should be fined heavely for the inconvienence to the customer. Your story mentioned that there is no more customer service and that is correct. Blame the upper management for this one in out sourcing jobs to other countries, cutting salaries, taking away pensions from the employees and to top it all making HUGE PROFITS and only sharing it with the top execs. The story went on to say the rudness of customer service personnel and flight attendants are at a high. What the article doesn’t mention is the lack of respect for the poor employees who have been beaten down by their companies and continue to be verbally, physically and rudely assaulted by passengers. As usual there are two sides to every story. The behavior of passengers is terrible. The way they dress is horrifing, they look like they just got out of bed. Manners have gone out the window, nobody says please and thank you anymore. And they expect the employees to be nice! Look in the mirror people, treat others as you would like to be treated and addressed.
Take the head phones off when spoken to and get off the frigen phone when you want our services. What you give out is what you get in return. Wake up Americans and start treating people better.
Love Matt, Meredith, Al and Ann. Not so crazy about Natalie. Would have liked to seen Campbell Brown in Natalie’s place. Please give update on Campbell, if she had child, etc. I would truly like to see more of Campbell instead of Natalie. Love Al’s sense of humor, and as always love Ann.She is very professional, yet down to earth. Ann Curry puts Natalie to shame on fashion clothing. I feel Natalie tries to hard to try to keep up with Ann and Meredith, sorry Natalie you just don’t cut it.Keep up the good work Ann!
Meredith, thanks for giving Today show a new breath of fresh air. Girl, you have got it!
LOVED the Springsteen concert, thanks for airing it as much as you did.
October lst Ann Curry had Jenna Bush on, I did not think it would ever end. It was entirely too long for the Today show. Enough is enough. That should have been on 20/20 or some show like it.
Hello!
As a very BIG fan of your show, and an AMERICAN (Born in Central AMERICA, and now a (VERY PROUD)USA AMERICAN citizen). I feel awkward every time US AMERICANS, or any place in the United States OF AMERICA is referred to as “AMERICANS or AMERICA”. America is a continent not a country! Please educate the citizens of the USA to learn and understand the difference. When we address immigation issues we need to use the correct terms. Mexicans, Bolivians, Brazilians, Canadians, Argetinians, ect; are AMERICANS, just as well as US Americans.
I think each of you do a wonderful job educating everyone about different topics, this should definitely be on the list…
I love this country and everything it stands for, but we need to learn to speak more intelligently regarding nationalities.
Please inform Hoda I had a mastectomy almost 24 years ago on Jan. 16, 1984 w/cancer in 1 lymph node w/6 mos. of chemo & on Dec. 19. 1994 had 18 inches of my ascending colon removed due to cancer.

This morning you, Matt, had two folks on discussing “parents being graded by teachers”. I understand there may be some parents that may require such attention, however, in our community in Western Pennsylvania, parents strongly feel teachers are in need of accountability and grading by parents. In one of our schools we have ongoing abuse by both teachers, aides and principals with what appears no accountability as they are protected by unions. It is reported, by our school board, State testing has gone down since the union has been involved. Our schoos have the highest pay in our county and the best benefits yet they ask fora great deal more money but wish no accountability. Superintendants and Princpals are more intereste in State test scores for state and federal dollars then the education of the student body.
Teachers and Administrators are paid for furthering thier education but for what reason? the reason is dollars in thier pockets not to better educate our children. additionally taxpayers pay for the teachers and administrators further education.
If the Today program is seriously interested in helping the development of this country and its future competitiveness you will investigate the school systems nationwide to uncover this ongoing abuse. Start with our school system, you will find a great deal of parents and students who will tell horror stories of what goes on in our schools.
matt, I saw on your the TODAY show adog with a artifical leg .I desperately need information on the person who made it. I have a 6year old border collie that needs help. Please repond. THANK YOU
Hi there folks, I really enjoy your show and that is how I start my day each day by watching you. I am looking for the recipes that Giada made this morning, Dec. 4th, 2007. I was wondering if you could e-mail them to me. Thanks for NB, Canada.
I understand that Laura Bush is going to be on your show this week. I will boycott your show until she is gone. Who in the world would want to see her, or listen to what she has to say? She is supposed to be so intelligent and she is married to G. Bush??? If I were her, I’d hide behind my curtains on the Crawford ranch. Permanently.
I AM WRITING BECAUSE MY MOTHER,DOROTHY BRUDER, WILL BE 100 YEARS OLD ON SEPT. 9TH 2008 AND YOU SEND MATT LAURER ALL OVER THE WORLD TO PLACES UN HEARD OF LET ALONE GO TO. I THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU WOULD SEND HIM TO WHERE SHE LIVES AND SURPRISE HER AT THE OPEN HOUSE I AM HAVING FOR HER ON THE 9TH. 2-5P.M. CHASKA MN. A LOVING FAMILY VALUED FARMING COUNTRY. WHERE PEOPLE LOVE THEIR FAMILIES, CHURCH AND CARE ABOUT THE LOVE AND CARING OF THEIR OLD PEOPLE. MY MOTHER WAS PUT IN THE NURSING HOME, BY MY FAMILY, FULLY COMPENTENT AND SELF SUFFICIANT BUT THEY WERE AFRAID SHE MIGHT FALL OR SOMETHING BEING ALONE. I AM THERE EVERY DAY AND SHE IS GREAT. SHE USES A WALKER. SHE HAS SOME BREATHING PROBLEMS AND IS SLOWER THAN SHE USED TO BE. BUT HER MIND IS GREAT. SHE PLAYS ALL CARDS, READS AND WORKS CROSSWORD PUZZLES. SHE REQURIES LITTLE HELP BUT THE HOME, AURBURN MANOR HAS A WONDERFUL STAFF AND ARE WONDERFUL TO HER AND TREAT ALL RESIDENTS AS SUCH. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF MY IDEA. THANK YOU.

Hi Matt,
I watch your show every morning and it gets me started for the day, I think you are doing a wonderful job of letting us (at home woman) know what is really going on in the big world. I don’t have to buy a paper because I know you and Meredith, Ann and Al will let me be informed of all things happening. Thank you for your honesty and humor I will be always their on the front row of my T.V. waiting for the next piece of news of the world……..
I have been trying to find Cathy Lee and Rhoda on the website they give as todaysshow.com for subjects they talked about today, 7/28/08, to no avail again. There are no links to their show that I can find. Please if you can help. Thank you.
On Monday’s Today Show with Hoda and Kathie Lee, they mentioned that everybody has a story. There would be a contest that people would tell their own story. The central theme would be about what one person made such an impact on them that it changed their life. Could you tell me where to send my story?
I wrote a story for the today show for “everybody has a story” segment, after I filled everything out including the story, I hit the send tab, nothing. I tried it over and over again, Nothing. I called NBC and they said to call 212-664-4602 after 9:30 am. I have called continusley since 9:30.It is now10:45 am. I am a little frustrated. Could you help me ? please! thank you very much. I have never done this before. I don’t even know if my story will pass, but I decided to try. Thank you again for your time. sincerely Rose Willson
YOU KNOW I have hit every tab to try and send in “my story.”….
It is not something that is different then some parents, but as a divorce mother. My son has suffered severe drug addiction…
He is a heroin addict, that has recovered many times. Now he is back on the street.
Besides breaking my heart and his brother and sister, and wife’s heart. He leaves a little 20 month old baby boy. He has seizure disorde, CP and cortical blindness!!!!!
God knows I love my son, he was my first, my smartest, my pride. As they all were.
I feel guilty, sometimes I just ask God to let him overdose so there is an end to all of our pain…… Because unless you know this you have no idea.
I have read all the books, My Beautiful Boy is my Favorite!!! and for my other children lets just keep playing
I’m trying to submit a co-worker to the Today Show - Look at Me Now - Joy Fit Club, can’t find the procedures, anyhelp would be appreciated. GShavers@umm.edu
i always watch the today show 10 to 11 hour: however for Hode to call herself a journalist my is she so biased to only good comments for the Dem.and alsyas showing Obama? NBC is known as the Obama headquarters but can you please improve your journalist shills and give the Republicans equal air time. I have turned to another channel when they continue to only relate the goods vibes from the Rep. check out your shows and tell me you give equal time and you are supposed to be Journalist??? Frances Bertotti Totti5@comcast.net
Not a comment, but an idea - Bonnie Hunt’s talk show has the old Dean Martin’s set, why don’t you creat a smaller version and have the people, who are still alive, to walk in. They can talk about suprising Dean, who didn’t know which person will be there.
I find that going to the weekend today web site often is very frustrating when you want info for something aired in the past 48 hours.
I wanted more info from the 10/25/08 show on 8 things to improve your cars efficiency. What I really wanted was the guests web site which was autozen or carzen, but none of them come up on google either,
Any suggestions about how to do a better search recommended.
I was very disappointed in the segment on Doctors using placebo’s to treat patients. I have been a physician for over 30 years and have not seen 50% of physicians prescribing placebo meds. giving a patient antibiotics for irritative voiding symptoms until the culture is back, and then stopping the meds if the culture is negative is not prescribing a placebo, but good medicine. this is going to do nothing but cause patients to lose trust in their physicians and make the practice of medicine more difficult. It is already hard enough when patients bring articles from the internet to the office and tell you that they have this condition and want to be treated for it. Most of the time they do not have the condition and you spend the whole appointment time trying to convince them that they do not have the condition that they found on the internet. Frequently they will make an appointment with another doctor because they are convinced that they have the condition because of the symptoms described on the internet. And now when I prescribe a medication the patient will be inclined to question my prescription and want to know if the med is a placebo.

About the Springsteen concert. I guess it was ok if you just like noise. The lyrics were not understandable.
on Sep 28th, 2007 at 2:25 pm

Shame on the media..
on Sep 28th, 2007 at 7:51 pm

Tell Kathy Lee to cool it. She is taking over, and ruining the last hour of the Today Show. She should know it is not all about her.

On Monday’s Today Show with Hoda and Kathie Lee, they mentioned that everybody has a story. There would be a contest that people would tell their own story. The central theme would be about what one person made such an impact on them that it changed their life. Could you tell me where to send my story?
on Aug 26th, 2008 at 2:48 pm

I have read all the books, My Beautiful Boy is my Favorite!!! and for my other children lets just keep playing

i always watch the today show 10 to 11 hour: however for Hode to call herself a journalist my is she so biased to only good comments for the Dem.and alsyas showing Obama? NBC is known as the Obama headquarters but can you please improve your journalist shills and give the Republicans equal air time. I have turned to another channel when they continue to only relate the goods vibes from the Rep. check out your shows and tell me you give equal time and you are supposed to be Journalist???
