Hi Today Show, Would like to cast my vote for couple number 1 but am having trouble doing so. I am a life long friend of Will McDonough’s family. We are from Norristown, Pennsylvania where Will’s father,Dr. Mike McDonough used to work many years ago. Truly rooting for Will and Beth success in winning this challenge. Who doesn’t love a cheerleader routine anyhow. Please count my vote at this time. Sincerely, Peggy Soentgen Mercer

I’m glad that people can finally realize that our children are afraid. Matt this morning was talking w/someone about it and I have girls that are afraid to go to school because of Columbine, VT and 911.They are only 11 and 13.It’s so sad.I was never afraid to go to school.

With all the different types of food offered in NYC, why does the Today Show always feature the Scottos family and Italian food? I’m tired of Italian cooking and food. SO MUCH MORE hundreds of varieties of food to explore and we get the same old tired menu… with a little more butter. Listen up Today Show!

I was truly disgusted and appalled at the music video shown on your show on Wed., Aug. 22. by the black singer. Is this the best you can do as far as entertainment. What a sad commentary on the morals of those who obtain such trash.

Why would you give unmarried couples a vacation together as if they were married? I realize the moral bar has really been lowered over the years but does my beloved Today Show have to sink also. Let the trip be their honeymoon gift from you.

I just watched an interview with Peta, why did Matt keep cutting her off? You would almost think that the today show was in favor of Vick’s (side job) dog fighting. I love the today show but if you guys don’t do what is the correct moral thing to do and take a stand against Vick you will lose another very loyal person. I don’t usually send emails to TV shows, but decent people need to come out very strong about this horrible “sport”, what will be next bull fighting. So, NBC take the moral and decent stand.

About 9:50 this morning I saw just the ending of how to repair a wall in your dry wall. I am most interested in the (Howard’s Restore finish w/fine steel wool) - I have a piece of table that the finish in one round spot came off completely with one of those plug in fresher’s that accidentally sat on the table for a short time. The finish is Cherry. It came out to the bear wood, no finish left in that one small round place about the size of a small egg.
    HELP PLEASE

I love the today show but I am sickend by the waist of money you spend on paying for someones wedding who are already blessed with love. Your money would be better spent on giving something back to the comunity by sponsering college students who are economically deprived . What could be more boring than someone elses wedding that you don’t know!

I have been a loyal Today show watcher for years, but have almost decided to switch stations after viewing the interview with PETA and the NAACP. I couldnt believe the way the interview was handled.

My comment to the NAACP is this: there was reference made to acceptance of dog fighting in some parts of the south and “in certain AAmerican cultures” in the south. Then some NFL players were interviewed and one said it was just “like deer hunting”. I beg your pardon???

In the 1950’s certain segments of the white culture thought that it was ok to beat and lynch A.Americans. Did that make it ok? It was, and is, both illegal and immoral to do so. So is dog fighting and placing bets on them.

I feel that the head of the NAACP did a great injustice to all good people both black and white and the people of the south, by even trying to legitimize a “side” that does not even exist. There is NO argument for dog fighting.

Shame on the Today Show for doing the interview this way and for Matt Lauer for continually interupting the woman from PETA. She was more than patient.

I expect to hear an apology from Matt Lauer or the Today Show or I wont ever watch it again.

I too am a long time Today Show fan. Merridith is OK, but I do miss Katy.
Katy and Matt were just a PERFECT MATCH.. So much FUN..

I too had trouble getting through to vote for the wedding couple. Did not get to vote.
I would also like to have the name of the product used with the steel wool today…Aug. 23rd.

I too miss Campbell Brown on weekends.

It is my understanding that there has been a report about the bridge collapse and the cause of it is pidgeon feces. This was reported on the night world news, not sure what channel. Would you look into this issue and do a story on this.
If this is the case we are in quite a bit of trouble since they live under our bridges. The feces is eating away the metal…
    Thank-you

Sorry Today Show but you really dropped the ball on your story about the bill that is trying to get passed for no sagging pants, too much skin and thongs showing, I am not old but why should I have to look at someone who sags the pants so low that I see most of their underwear, it offends me to see young fashion of today. This is all in the name of fashion what next no pants and just underwear or girls without any tops and just sports bras? Show me an Honor student that dresses this way.

I just watched the segment on the proposed ordinance against people(especially young people) showing their undergarments. Maybe no one remembers this, least of all the kids, but this started out as a way of actually glorifying the criminal culture. When a person goes to jail, authorities take away belts, shoelaces… anything that could be used to hurt ones’s self or others or to escape. Guys came out of jail” bustin’ a sag” and were admired by kids who began to emulate the look. When I worked with juveniles in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania we recognized this as an elment of defiance, not a fashion statement. Times change, cultures evolve, and while I don’t think this look should be criminalized, I think it should be seen as what it is…youthful defiance, not fashion!

I agree with the other viewers that were offended by Matt cutting off the woman in the interview. What really puts me over the edge though is when AL is disrespectful to fellow workers and guests!!!!! His comments are so infuriating because he is allowed to continually get away with his rude cutting remarks!!! Why isn’t he EVER made to appologize for his offensive behavior. REALLY!!!! Today he was laughing like a jackass about the cartoon picture of Matt and making cutting remarks about the nose! It wasn’t even that funny!! Matt doesn’t have a large nose- but the cartoon did- so what—not that funny!! The cartoon was cute -so is Matt- not with a large nose!! I think that Al is suffering from low self esteem!! Whether feuled by hatred or his own self loathing, his little jokes are rude - not funny - and show a lack of intelligence!! I know it is not just my opinion; as I saw the look on Ann’s face this morning when she practically wanted to put her hand over his mouth to shut him up!! I have seen the look on her face as on many others before. He is an embarrassment to the today show when he acts like this. Al needs to leave the humor to funny people and the comments to himself!! Stick to the weather and take a look at the film from this morning Al - your nose looks ENORMOUS when you tried to end the segment on a funny note- turning your head to show your nose- jokes on your schnoz!!!

This is over a week late, its taken me this long to calm down after watching Matt send 3 UNMARRIED couples to a resort for 5 days….
It would have been a wonderful honeymoon package for them but
to show how low our moral standards have become is unacceptable.
The media has a responsibility that often is overlooked. Our nation
needs to take a good look at what has and is happening to our morals.
History shows that it is the downfall of every great nation.

I absolutely hate it when shows put their logos onto the TV screen. It used to be the networks would flash their logos briefly as part of their required station identification. Now every channell has their logo onscreen all the time. Some are OK, small, subtle and not garish. Others are much larger, very bright and overpowering.

Then then shows started putting their logo onscreen as well. And the stations will flash promos for other shows in the middle of the show you’re watching. It’s going to get to the point where there is a little box in the middle of the screen for the show you’re watching and all the rest will be ads, crawlers and other junk.

Thats why I was very disappointed when Today had to go and put up their logo on the screen. If they are so insecure that people won’t know what program they are watching then they should do something about the quality of programming - not stick their logo on the screen.

I won’t watch any program that sticks their logo on the screen and whenever a station pops a promo for another show on screen in the middle of another show - out comes the clicker and I change channels.

    Just my 2 cents.
