Meredith, please understand that the only reason Paris Hilton is famous is because the media like you keep shoving her down our throats. She was in jail because she thinks rules don’t apply to her and she could have killed someone with reckless behavior. The media is completely responsible for making her a house hold name and why? What has she done but live a life without quality? No one should want to see that interview. The best thing we can all do for her is to ignore her.

I love the today show with
matt and merraideth. today I was disappointed in merrideth’s coment about people being glued to their t.v. WE HAVE NO CHOICE IT’S ON EVERY —– STATION. WITHOUT THE MEDIA SHE WOULD NOT BE WHAT SHE IS TODAY.I will still continue to watch the show. Love ya both

This Paris Hilton is a smart chick. she is a walking train wreck, the patty hearst of her generation (no honey, you aint no marilyn munroe, no icon status for you). there is no bad publicity here. Its just publicity. INK. The trashy energizer bunny keeps going and going… However, look at Madonna…yup the same stuff, not as cute, not as rich, and those two she balanced out with borderline talent and a whole lotta drive…All over everyone and everything. Tumbling from one media catching scenario to another. Then she gets married and has a child, all of a sudden she’s riding horses, faking a british accent, writing children’s books and doing aids work in Africa. Good Lord, I believe she even got back her virginity. Girls…Paris, Lindsay, Nicole, Kimberley and all the rest of you table hoppers…YOU CANT UNRING A BELL!!! Have your party and enjoy, it will catch up with you…just dont hurt the rest of us while we are driving home on the same streets from a dance rehersal or a failed sleepover run in the middle of the night. You are more to be laughed at and pitied.

Though I can hurt with the family of Jesse Davis I am amazed at all the publicity her case is receiving…My niece was Due to deliver her third child on July 8th, a baby boy to be named Ethan….My niece (22 yr old Jenna Nielsen) was murdered on June 14th in the early morning hours in Raleigh N.C. …her killer/killers have not been caught so shouldn’t her story be getting just as much attention!!!! why is it not!!!!??? you can go to justice4jenna.org to read more about this case….the only real national attention she has received was a recently published full page ad in the USA Today paper on June 25th (she was delivering the papers for them when she murdered….she fought for her life and had multiple stab wounds with the one that killed her puncturing her artery they say she went within 20 seconds and the baby about 5 after that but how much terror did she go thru before…….I just came home from her funeral where I held her precious baby Kaiden (11mos) during the service and had to watch a brave 3 yr old (Schyler) “mommy is sleeping” he knows she is not coming back but I don’t think he really understands….. her husband (Tim) has had to endure the most painful time of his life….Jenna was the twinkle in Tim’s eyes and the smile on his face. Please help us find her killer and give her story the proper attention it needs….the killer is going to mess up sometime!!!!

I turned on at around 7:45, there was Paris on Larry King. I switched to NPR. I turned back to NBC at 8:30, Meredith said more on Paris a little later. I used to watch the Today Show everyday. I will be turning to NPR from now on.

I went to the today.com address you mentioned on the show to see the statement by the church of scientology answer to the unofficial biography of Tom Cruise. When I did a search for Mr. Cruise, I got eight comments about Paris Hilton! Like she matters!
I don’t belong to that church, but this shows you have a really strong bias against them. Their official statement on your site is impossible to find. You have shown that disrespect to more than one religious organization. You owe them an apology.
