I heard and saw you talking about long time friendships and want to comment on the length of really long time friendships. I will be 80 years old in July of this year as will the “girls” I meet with once a month for either lunch or dinner depending on the weather. We became friends in kindergarden at Fulton School in Toledo,Ohio. We were all 4years old, the age for the first year of kindergarden. (It was a two year program back then.) We have all stayed in Toledo, marrying, raising our children, and keeping up with our friendship. There are five of us, with an occasional visit from another friend who lives most of the year in Florida. We also have added a “youngster” she is only 76. At any rate, 30 years for old friends is a short time for us. Figure it out, from 4 years old to 80, that’s better than twice the time. You might want to talk about us if you want to document what it takes to keep a friendship alive and well.
