This email is not about anything from todays show. Matt’s interview with Prince Charles and Prince Harry, was wonderful. It was refreshing and enjoyable watching such a positive piece. I felt happy and reassured after watching the piece that the furture is bright and promising.

Thank yaou Matt! Only you could have done such a great job.

Ann & Matt, I was unable find the topic ‘trophy wives’ on Today’s 7/10 list but unless I was dreaming there was a discussion this morning during which Donny Deutsch carelessly remarked ‘not all men are retards’. As the mother of a 20-year old young man who is mentally retarded and who was in the ER at Robert Wood Johnson (in New Brunswick NJ) all day I can tell you that luckily not all people think of the word ‘retarded’ as an insult. The nurses, physicians, interns, residents, in-take personnel and all the other patients recognized that our son is retarded and treated Steven with kindness and respect. I wasn’t surprised to hear the word ‘retarded’ used disparagingly by Mr. Deutsch but was disappointed that neither you, Ann, nor you, Matt, even blinked at the use of the word in that manner. The Today Show could have earned points with a display of civility. Instead you lost a long-time viewer. Sincerely, Mary-Ann Lebret

Money make you Happy?? The people that Matt interviewed and Matt himself are so full of shit, its not funny. Who came up to interview these people or better yet how much did you pay them, to try and stuff this nonsence down our middle class throat. Oh, there is nothing worse then being in first class and not going or doing what you what. Oh yes there is, trying being with us, middle class crowded into the back not going or doing what we want. We watch the today show every morning and I am so upset, I never send e-mails but this really got me. What gives you, people who earn six figure salary to tell us we should be happy worring about bills, making the budget reach until next payday. You should be ashamed of youselves or is there no other news and these people were just hanging around and you needed a filler, I could almost forgive you but if not and you actually planned on them, let me charge six figures and I can come on and tell you how unhappy you should be not worring about money. This sure started out my day bad but I should be happy I have no money.

I have been a loyal Today show watcher for at least 18 years. 2 things. All of a sudden there is a lot of “fluff” segments geared toward bubble headed women. It’s actually embarassing to watch Matt try to look interested in what he’s discussing. More hard news and political interviews would be great.
Second, Natalie Morales is fabulous. She is professional, smart, real, and warm.

Please………..Why spend so much of your valuable time on the non-story about the beauty queen and the photos she posted on the web, who is now being blackmailed. First, who cares? This is the kind of story that should be left to the grocery store tabloids. I doubt that many people were interested in hearing her story or seeing her boring pictures. The Today Show should focus more on important, relevant stories. I am inching closer to MSNBC or CNN in the morning, but I hate to give up Matt, Meredith and Ann. Enough fluff already!

On Pat, the little boy that has lukemia, and has the Driving for
Donors: I am 48 yrs, old. When I was 20 I rceived a kidney from my sister that I had for 7 yrs., and rejected it. In 1988, I received a donor kidney that I have had for 19 yrs. It is so important that people realize how being a donor saves so many lives. If I did not have the donor, it’s hard to tell if I would be here. You can’t live on dialysis because it takes so much out of you; I know, I was on dialysis two times. It has an effect on your heart, and other organs as well. PLEASE, try and do more stories on being a donor. IT DEFINITELY SAVES LIVES! THANKS

I was so thrilled to see and hear about the young boy’s dream of promoting and suggesting that people sign up to be on the bone morrow registry. Two years ago I received a bone marrow tranplant at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem NC. I am very thankful to God and the doctors and my donor who lives in Houston, Texas. I had cancer and my only sibling was not a match for the transplant. Thankfully there was the bone marrow registry to turn and a match was available. The effort that the young boy along with teaming up now with Sarah Ferguson is wonderful! Speaking as a mom and a school teacher Iam very proud of your efforts. I would love to help!

It was great seeing HODA KOTB on the Today show this week.

We still miss her in New Orleans. She may be gone but not forgotten.

Help, please! I briefly heard a segment between 6:30 and 7:00 EST this morning (July 12, 2007) which dealt with new search engines. Unfortunately I did not have a pen and paper handy at the time, and of course I forgot the web address names! Can someone tell me where and how to find them? One in particular I thought would be helpful to me in my crafting business. Thanks!

Tell Campbell Brown this am was the first mention I heard her make of her pregnancy. I had thought for several weeks that she might be from her even more than usual radiant complexion.

I thought thisi morning Sat, July 14, that she kept holding her notes self-consciously over her stomach, I think trying to deflect attention, but it just served the opposite, drawing attention. Pregnant tummies look great. Flaunt it Campbell.

    Aviewer and fan.

I would like the recipe on Tuesday’s sow for Salmon wrapped in foil. I can’t believe that the Today show relies on viewers to give each other the recipes that they highlight. That doesn’t make sense. Why devote so much time to these cooking segments if you can’t provide the recipes?
