I watch the show everyday and I am most disappointed that in your medal count you fail to mention Venus and Serena Willams gold for women’s double. Not second place silver of third place bronze but Gold and you fail to mention their names. Nadal is from Spain yet you mentioned him even though I love the guy and was overjoyed he won but The Williams Sisters are from the USA what’s up with that. Come On

While I have enjoyed Today’s Olympic coverage overall, I have to say that I was instantly turned off by a segment which aired this morning. The story was about one Today staffer (Amy Robach, I believe, although I could be mistaken) who went shopping for a custom made silk dress. I understand that the segment was meant to highlight Chinese culture, and the process of haggling with the merchant to obtain a lower price. However, Ms. Robach bemoaning the fact that she paid the equivalent of $145.00 for a custom made silk dress was both embarrassing and offensive. First of all, I presume that Ms. Robach’s travel expenses have been paid by NBC since she is on assignment in Beijing. I would hope that NBC pays her well enough that she could afford to spend $145.00 of her own money - and who knows, perhaps that expense was picked up by the network as well. Finally, Ms. Robach’s on air “whining” that other women paid only $100.00 for their dresses only highlights how cheap Americans are. How often can one find a dress of similar quality in the USA for that price? It’s no wonder that foreigners perceive Americans as self centered, condescending, and arrogant - it’s because we are. Shame on NBC and shame on us.

I am so dissappointed in Jenna Wolff’s coverage of the olympics. She is so sarcastic & really needs to check her ego. Please reconsider her further employment at nbc.

With all the coverage of Olympics and medals. Why is there no mention of the Gold Medal won by the Equestrian Jumping Team!! And there jump off to win the gold! Would like to see more coverage on equestian events.

Firs of all I’m very proud of every American that has competed and won. I’m appalled that the network puts so much emphasis on one of the gold medalists winner that his mother was an illegal immigrant. It makes me think that somehow that makes his gold medal less important over the others. Why not celebrate with him and his family as a united country. Lastly, it is rude and unkind to bring that up during such a joyous ocassion.

    Dear Matt,
I am very disappointed with the airing of the closing ceremonies last night. Throughout the entire broadcast, I was impressed with the coverage and the optional “without” commercial interruptions. I completely understand the need for revenue, being a business man, myself, however, with the event coming to a close, it seemed like it was more important to “get the commercials in” rather than share the spectacle that was the closing ceremonies. It has left a sour taste in my families mouths, we were really disappointed.
    Regards,
    Britt Family

I just turned on to Kathylee and her co-host. I am exhausted listening to her and it is only 11:20. She acts like she is scared to death that her co-host will get a word in. She is dominating the show to adnausium. Her co-host looks so bewildered, probally wondering why she is even there.
Kathylee needs some meds to calm her down a few notches. She may love to hear herself babbling but the rest of us don’t.
As she ever been told that cofersation happens when two people share opions. It is not defined as one person blabbing as though their on steriods. She is just plain rude to others especially her co-host. The station needs to calm her down down or replace her. Respond please.

Where in the world did KathiLee get all that hair, she needs to stick to the simple look, which works best for her, she is a very beautiful woman and doesn’t need all that fake hair!!!
What a wonderful gesture Hoda made with the gifts from Beijing for KathiLee..Keep up the good work!

Dear Meredith~ Thank you so much for doing the segment on your Portuguese heritage. I too am Portuguese, my father came over in 1957 (from Sao Jorge) and my mother’s parents came over in the early 1900’s (from Terceira, Azores). I am now married to an American, we have two small children and we live in Gainesville, GA just north of ATL. My husbands family and friends (all Southerners) have no idea of who/what/where Portuguese people are much less Azoreans. I was able to tape the segment and plan to share it with everyone and anyone who enters my home! The Azores are absolutely GORGEOUS and I thank you for taking the time to educate the rest of America!!! Obrigada, Sra. Vieira!!!! Anna-Maria Pereira-Whitfield

I cannot find the area that Hoda and Mary Lee talked about this morning, Aug 25th. I would like to write and send in my story in hopes it would be made into a song……where do I go to get to this link.

Thank you for your help…….I enjoy the Today show very much…..it brightens my morning as I have a cup of coffee and then at lunch when Hoda and Mary Lee come on I relax and see what they are up too.

Help me please find the right place to send in my story.

I just finished watching Ann Curry’s trip back home to her mother’s homeland in Japan. I thought it terrific! I was so touched by Ann’s spiritual return to her homeland and thought it was presented very well. I loved viewing her mother’s home, family and spiritual ceromony. I was so touched by the love that Ann and her family demonstrated to each other. Bravo for a job well done, I truly enjoyed her sharing it with all of us.

    Hello Ann,
I just wanted to say how lovely your tribute to your late mother was this morning. I’m a first generation Canadian and I never knew my mother - she died after the birth of my baby brother. I hope to visit Ireland, mother’s birthplace, and my dad’s birthplace –the NE coast of Scotland.
My bible says those who honor their father and mother will long long upon the earth. There’s a blessing waiting for you Ann.
Thank you for the compassionate and unique way you cover your stories. Our daughter has a graduate degree in journalism, and she say you’re tops!
    warmly,

I absolutely love watching The Today Show. Merideth, Matt, Anne, Al and Natalie have become part of my daily morning routine. However, I am so disappointed that the show allows Kathylee to ruin the viewers esteem of The Today Show. She dominates the “discussion” she has with Hoda and guests. It is appalling that as a grown woman she has not learned basic manners and I am baffled that while hosting television is her occupation, she does it so poorly. I have reached the point where I just cannot stand watching the later portion of the show each day because of Kathylee. I do feel a sense of pity for Hoda because I can see that she is really trying to move the show along, insert her opinion, and carry on the good reputation of the show. Kathylee, however, does not seem to care about anything or anyone other than herself. Please find someone else who will be better for the job! I would love to not have to change channels and instead be able to watch my favorite show from start to finish.

I have been a fan of the Today Show for many years now and have marvelled at the range of topics it has featured. The piece that Ann recently did on her Japen homecoming was especially touching. Kudos to everyone in the production team. The shots were poetic. The story was so human and heartwarming that it left me teary- eyed. Everytime Ann faces the camera, I can feel genuine sincerity in sensitive situations as well as genuine joy in moments of fun.

I have heard that you will be doing a blurb on the effects of radon in granite. i hope you, media, is smart enough to get the true facts about this false rumor. granite has been around forever. it is everywhere on buildings, in hotels, etc. what i find interesting is that the workers in the quarries themselves have no cancer issues and are exposed daily. also the people that started this rumor are the engineered stones. find out what is in their product? i bet all kinds of chemicals–toxic. why aren’;t they saying marble, limestone and slate have radon? Those materials are also from quarries. This is a true slanderous situation. if anyone has radon in their homes, it will most likely be coming from their crawl spaces, an unsealed sump pump or somewhere in their basement. i hope you do the right thing in this viewing. if your show does not have the true issues on this, i will be happy to sit across from anyone in interview with this issue. If not, i will fight to get on any talk show on this issue to clear the air. marta gambaccini

I switched over to The Today Show last year after having watched GMA since I was a child. I love the smarter topics and all of the hosts seem fun and balalnced. I have it on in the morning when my kids are around and I can usually trust that it will be family-friendly. I am disappointed to hear that you are having the artist who sings “I Kissed A Girl and I Liked It” on the show tommorrow. I’m sure she is very talented but that is not a postive song for my 12 year old daughter and 14 year old son. We change the radio station when that song comes on. Just because something is hot right now doesn’t mean it is good.

The morning after the greatest Democratic Convention, and only a few words about it on Today, and more attention on dismal
McCain’s possible choice for VP. Makes one wonder who dictates
to our TV media what the news can be about. Are we sure that we have free speech.
A packed stadium with the most energized audience one has ever seen, and the TODAY show deprives it’s viewers from
observing the thousands and thousands and thousands of participants who dream of a better tomorrow we all deserve.

I am outraged at the obvious plot of Today show republican biased executives to distort this mornings news of the Democratic Parties selection of their candidate by falsely stating that Mccain’s ” no news” was more important. Forty five minutes later we were given a “Special Report” which was clearly taped earlier, announcing Mccains running mate . That’s FALSE new reporting. Why should we believe anything you report if you distort the truth. I intend to pursue this ” Phony Special Report” and bring your actions to public attention.

    Dear Kathy Lee,

I am a frequent watcher of the today show.I was very dissapointed about you talking about politics that you know nothing about. You are trying to use T.V. and media to help McCain. You should leave your personal thoughts where they belong.[in your head].McCain knows he’s in trouble, that why he picked a female as a V.P..I don’t care what you are, such as democrat, republican,or independent we all deserve a better life.We will not get nothing more then what we got for the last 8 years with McCain. If you think George Bush is doing a good job then it goes to prove my point.Kathy you may have a big heart but you got a small brain.

    on Aug 29th, 2008 at 3:54 pm

Shame on you! I am furious in the choice made this morning to run a “story” speculating on McCain’s running mate instead of reporting the historic news of last night. I always felt the Today Show was excellent in not showing their political affiliation - no more. Your Republican bias is showing. It shouldn’t matter what party the producers, editors, or reporters lean to, the news should be reported and reported as news. For the first time in over 200 years an African-American made it to a level no other African-American has before. THAT is news. Not some dribble about who might be the Republican’s VP. You have asked too much of your viewers lately - Merideth’s poor interviewing skills, nauseating stories of suspects and criminals, tabloid junk. ENOUGH! If I want news from now on, I’ll not turn to the Today Show. Ann and Al - follow Katie’s lead, jump ship before its too late!

I was watching your show while my husband was having open heart surgery and KathieLee talked about people submitting a
life changing story in 500 words or less. The winner would have their story put to music and sung on the today show and the story writer with a friend would be flown out to New York all expenses paid to have a famous person sing the song.
I really would love to send my story to you. It was the most life changing experience and I am a very different person now.

We enjoy your program and watch is most morning, the hosts are personable yet business-like which increases our confidence in the accuracy of the news they report. It has been stated several times this morning that “the crowd in Penn. Booed the new Republican Vice-Presidential candidate when she brought up Hilary Clinton in her speech.” We heard that speech and we felt that it was clear the crowd was booing Hilary Clinton, and the idea that she ever contributed anything. They were not booing the speechmaker. We wonder how anyone can feel Hilary Clinton has more experience than the Governor of a State would have. The administrative responsibilities of a Governor are certainly greater than those of a Senator who had to go to a state other than her own to even get elected. People who knew her best in Arkansas would new have elected her. We are excited about the new Republican ticket and feel the Governor adds a real punch.

I am extremely disappointed the Today Show would choose to send Ann Curry, Al Roker and Lester Holt to New Orleans area. What part of having the mayor evacuate the city does the Today Show not understand? This is a very bad “example” and also compromises the safety of these three great people. Even though the hurricane was not a full force yet this morning, they absolutely should not be broadcasting out in that dangerous weather. Is getting folks to watch your show so important that you risk your employee’s safety?

The Today Show is turning into a scandal rag. The pregnancy of Gov. Palin’s daughter was news yesterday and now it’s a family matter. To show her picture while your expert shrink was talking about teenage pregnancy and disfunctional families was really low. How sad that you would do that to a child.

  39. #39 John A. Capling

    Dear Matt and Meredith

It is a sad day when you have nothing else to ask questions about than a teenage pregnancy regardless who the parent(s) are. That subject is none of our business, let it rest. It is a family matter and should be treated as such. I believe you both have daughters, be careful because it could happen to you. Please do not stoop this low again.

I am/was a loyal Today Show fan….who did Meredith think she was this morning 9/2 when interviewing one of McCains people about Gov. Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy??!! She was borderline nasty! Families often face challenges, I hope Meredith’s young family doesn’t disappoint her! I am so disapointed that the Today show would jump onto the band waggon and smear the daughter of Gov. Palin. This is a very private thing for that girl and she doesn’t deserve to have her name smeared across the whole world. Where is your heart?

  42. #42 LaDonna Allen

I applaud Kathy Lee for not wanting to talk about Gov. Palin’s daughter’s pregnacy. Unlike another network where they wanted to know everything….I was waiting for “when and how” Some things are not for the world to know or to hold against a candidate just for the sake of “news”. If you want news, check on how the conduct of the Congress is. That is more relevant than a girl’s pregnancy.

As to the guest they had that siad she didn’t think that Gov. Palin’s daughter should get married at 17 is irrevelent. It was reported that she was going to marry the baby’s father, but not when. As to young girls getting married, it depends on the person and how grown up they are. For myself, I was married at 18. We have four children. ten grandchildren and will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary this coming February. You cannot put everybody into a little box.

    Matt & Meridith,

That was the nastiest thing anyone could have done to bring up the pregnancy of that young girl just to get your point across for the democrats. It was very plain that you were smearing that young girl to get back at the republicans. You both were absolutely dispicable. At least they did not make her have an abortion and committ murder. You both have daughters so you might think (but by the grace of God) that could be me. Now how would you like it if someone smeared your children all over the world. NOW give that some thought before you want to smear someone just for political gain!!!

I hope I have the right link for the New York City vacation, but here it goes.
At age 20 my mother dies of cancer, three weeks later my father was killed in an automobile accident.
At the age of 23 I gave birth to their first grandchild. I was consiously of their image and presence near me.
Verification came an hour later when my husband said “I don’t want you to think I’m crazy, but, O swear your parents were in the delivery room.
They died before I ever met them.
I certainly hope I’m on the right link. The reason I kept it short, I understood the story had to be 50 words or less.

Wasn’t sure if this is where I need to state that I’ve had an idea to products that already exist, but I can use them differently.
One is for Crayola, yet I tried to contact them and they don’t take outsider’s ideas.
The other is for potty-training children.

I wanted to enter the story contest:let me begin with telling you that I’ve been a diabetic for 37 years and when my oldest son was 10 years old and my youngest was two, we were leaving my moms house where we has dinner and I wasen’t feeling to good and within 5 minutes after getting on the highway to come home, my blood sugar went low and I kinda passed out and my oldest son Wesley started yelling at me and steering the car and kept us from hitting the concrete wall and other cars my speedometer was buried at 85mph and my son had to steer for about 25 minutes untill we got off the highway and hit a curb and had a flat tire, an ambulance saw it happen and came over to us and asked if I was a diabetic and my son said yes and they checked my blood sugar and it was 0 they said another couple of minutes and I would have been dead, wesley saved our lives and that of many others.

    Dear Matt,
I watched as much of both conventions as possible. both spoke in generalities- telling us what they think we want to hear! How about the truth! Did the Republicans address the huge debt (mostly owned by China) created by the war? We had to take action after 9/11, but was Iraq the place to focus our efforts? What income bracket is going to have tax relief? What does “less government”really mean? Less for education and less for health care? How are we going to provide for future generations when we are so in debt. I don’t hear either party being specific. Why isn’t the media asking the hard questions: How will you do what you say you will? Who will pay? Why aren’t we moving more quickly to alternative energy sources? How will drilling in the beautiful state of Alaska help? Most of that oil goes to Japan. Please ask the candidates the hard questions- don’t be afraid of being rude. When they try to avoid being specific- repeat the question. You are our voice. You have the opportunities we do not have.

I am a Today Show fan but sometimes I squirm when MAtt & meredith interview some people . They sometime come off as very caring &sometimes a judgemental. Only God knows their future of their families so look out. You have been blessed with a very good job do it with some caring for your fellow man. I also wish that Kathy Lee & Hoda would check their necklines on their dresse sometimes to low . Ann Curry a real class act so refined in all things she does. Still watch every morning JG

I cannot believe the attention that Kathy Lee and
Hoda gave to the Rpublican Convention. The viewers
did not get that message from the previous Democratic Convention that was by all accounts a historicalo moments. I was dsappointed, especailly since I was fed a daily dose of Sarah Palin. Perhaps Kathy should take a small hiatus and work
for the Republican Party as Sarah Palin’s assistant. I have watched the Today Show for 25 years because of program quality. Since Kathy Lee
has joined the staff, the show has lost credibility.

I am a very disappointed viewer of the Today show as well as NBC all together. Your biased ways is way over the top. It is none of anyone’s business about Ms. Palin’s daughter anymore than it would be if it was Mr. Obama’s daughter. I have stopped watching any NBC/MSNBC/CNN and all the other TV networks who have shown there biased feelings. Guess you know where I have gone-FOX NEWS Go Fox and good-bye to the hypocrites!!! I just feel sorry for Ann Courey-She is pretty neat !

I watched the Today’s show today for the very first time 9-8-2008. I seen a woman on there who used to weigh 282lbs and now weighs 155. I just love how they help certain people and not others. I am 21 years old, 5′10, and weigh 330lbs. I am going to school for law enforcement and need major help loosing this weight. Weight has been an issue my whole life, and I seriously need some help. Why wont somebody help me? This whole weight thing has gotten so bad that it even hurts to walk on my feet. Won’t somebody please help me?

I watch the today show always, and i have a comment.
How come the news media never talks about Carol Mc Cain
the former wife? And why the media paints Mc. Cain as a hero
when he really is an hypocrite that abandoned his first wife
in search of money & fortune, you must know that his present wife is an heiress to a brewery ,so why not talk about that sometime, & interview the other family? so that American people really know the kind of person he really is?
I think we the voters have a right to know the real truth
    about the candidates !

What is the reason that John McCain’s daughter considers him a “hero”? Because he was a prisoner of war? He is not the first to be a prisoner of war– and he is not the first to fight in a war. She was not alive when John McCain was a prisoner of war. In fact, I doubt if any of the McCain children were alive when he was a prisoner of war. There are many children whose fathers were prisoners of war and the children lived for a lengthy time not knowing if their father was alive. How well I know. There were many children who were prisoners of war themselves and came through it.

    Dear Today Show,
I just happened to watch your wonderful show this morning regarding the plane crash that killed the pilot, and left a married couple injured with burns in Arizona.I’m a burn survivor from 1974 (flame burn) injured at age 19 and don’t always get to watch the Today Show with my schedule*.In addition to spending 109 days in a Louisville,Kentucky burn unit at Norton’s hospital of which the first 75 days were in ICU,I was also informed sometime in the first 6 weeks my eyes were sewn shut that there was a fatality involving the 18 year old woman I’d met on a blind date 3 hours prior had died 3 hours after the accident in that fiery car-crash.Needless to say that there was insult added to my injuries being burned beyond recognition 65% @1st/2nd/3rd degree burns and the immediate need for “shock therapy”at the news of Margie’s loss.I obviously wasn’t married when I was injured as Stephanie and Christian Clark were and have 4 beautiful children,so I can only imagine what Stephanie and Christian are dealing with in a reverse situation as mine happened.I’ve since then became married in May 1980 and was blessed with a son and daughter who are grown and happily married. My wife and I became grandparents on August 20,2007 and soon to be again anytime now!I truly desire to dialogue with the Clark family as I’ve been proactive serving the burn community since 1986 in burn unit/rehab center visits, serving as mentor/counselor/musician for 2 Indiana Burn Foundations that provide burn camps for children ages 8-18 who’ve sustained and survived burn injuries as I have, and have year-round activities that encourage” peer connection and interaction” with each other and ultimately with society.I’m also a resource for the Jeffersonville,Indiana Fire department in a burn injury related call that requires encouragement, empowerment and education for both the burn survivor(s) and family support system in the acute phase and to give practical advise and real-time experience on what to expect in the post-burn phase reacclimating into the home, society and workplace.I fully understand the process involved in rehab having dealt with it for 6 months at 3 times per week and being completely disabled for one year until Spring of 1976*.I hope to hear from the Clark family soon with a GOOD report and am available should they or their family need someone to talk to about the burn injuries they’re dealing with.I can be reached directly by phone at (502)541-6334 for anything they need to discuss or their family support system that I viewed on the Today Show this morning.

Come on, Matt, you desperately need to shed your Democratic views (at least while on morning T.V.) and get back to what you USED to be good at: delivering the news, not editorializing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been watching The Today Show for many years and I have switched recently because your bias is soooo over the top. The media is continually complaining about the bad wrap they get; well, just do your job of reporting the news and stop “sharing” your political opinions with your viewers. You, Matt, especially need to watch. By the way, I have not committed to either candidate yet, but would like to make my own knowledgeable decision based on the help of a FAIR, two-sided broadcast. Ithink I can make a pretty good guess as to whom you are voting for…………..should I be able to do that from just watching THE TODAY SHOW?

It was totally unnecessary during Meredith’s story about the man who attacked another man randomly on a train in the presence of his son to continually replay the video of the attack. This was a horrible act of human depravity and to continue to show it during the second half of the story was gratuitous. While she was interviewing the Philadelphia Police Commissioner it would have been sufficient to continue to show the Philadelphia skyline as a backdrop instead of repeatedly cutting back to yet another replay of the depraved attack. We got it and after a while the images become just disturbing and almost numbing.

I too was very upset that the Today show did not show anything for the anniversary of 9/11. We should all remember what happened that day, we were supposed to,as a nation, have a moment of silence at 8:46 am. Well, I was getting ready for work and thought to myself that 8:46 should be comming up soon, I look at the screen while they are talking about boys educations and it is 8:47…. I switch to the other networks and they are showing the happenings in New York, the White House, and the Pentagon. I will never ever watch the Today show again!

I have been a fan of the Today Show for many years. I have always enjoyed the unbiased and informative information delivered by its hosts. What were the producers thinking when they added Kathie Lee to the program. Poor Hoda is an intelligent and warm person, but teamed with Kathie Lee she seems frustrated and forced to do damage control for Kathie Lee’s brainless remarks and eye rolling gestures. Please give Kathie Lee to FOX NEWS where she will fit right in with their style and talent.

I watch the Today Show as often as I can. But the last hour with Hoda and Kathie Lee can be annoying. Kathie Lee dominates the hour. She constantly interrupts Hoda every time she is speaking. She thinks she is funny, but she doesn’t reflect the quality that the show deserves. Even when the guests are on , she interrupts them. Some of the topics are serious and interesting, but she tries to make everything a joke. Hoda needs a better co-host who diesn’t try to dominate the show.

I turned on your show this morning, as I do every morning, and there was Lynn Spears being interviewed. I didn’t care, so I walked away assuming that when I came back 10 minutes later you would be discussing something significant. I came back the next half hour….there she was, still being interviewed. I walked away again and lo and behold, 30 minutes later, yet another segment with Lynn Spears. We may all be tired of politics. We may be sick of watching the stock market tumble and implode. But, please an entire show dedicated to a woman talking about her dysfunctional, spoiled brats. Please. If I wanted to watch Jerry Springer-type television, I know where to tune in.

Do they have something to hide from the voters?

Today’s comments - I’m curious about this blog, after reading through most of them… I would like to know: Why aren’t they listed with the most recent ones first? This would make it so much more interesting and relevant (Today?). We are so past the Olympics - who won and what the NBC hosts were wearing… kind of like old news - past its expiration date and covered by dust - needing to be recycled or replaced by something current… Like lipstick - I did watch The TODAY Show today and the piece interviewing hockey moms in Michigan… My take away? Regardless of their political loyalties, they were united on one thing - they were all wearing lipstick.:)

I watched the show today and was dissappointed by the segment where Ann Curry was interviewing 4 women about their opinions regarding last nights Vice Presidential debate. You had 4 women, three White and one Black. Basically all three White women were favorable toward Sarah Palin’s performance; and so, there was nothing that we haven’t heard before. The segment would have been more interesting if the women represented varying ages, ehtnicities, cultural and career backgrounds. And even more interesting if you had an additional Black Republican woman. I am 60 years young and have watched the show since I was a kid. During that time, the show was definitely more informative and was what a news/entertainment vehicle should be, that is an ear and voice of the media reflective of unbiased thinking; as well as, a legitimate instrument to help the public or at the very least, your loyal viewers to have a better understanding of pertinent issues. Instead what do I hear? Fluff from three women who definitely are not reflective of the total population at large. I find this terribly disturbing. In the shape this country is in, we are all in the fight of our lives regardless of which party we belong to. The Today Show is an integral part of todays media. Why it’s been on so long, I would go so far as to say you could be deemed a part of the conscience of our society. You shape people’s opinions, as you have done for me and my family for quite a number of years; So please, in the future, an unbiased, intelligent, presentation of the issues goes a long way in sifting through the fluff that we are bombarded with in these troubling times.

Kudos to the Weedend Today team today for trying to put a positive spin on the economy. When someone is sick in the hospital, you do not want to hear the gorry details of their illness and treatment. The economy is no different. I think the media is helping to cause the depression in the economy by depressing people with hours of doom and gloom. I wish we would just hear, “the condition of the economy is the same, or a little worst, or hopefully soon a little better.” and then a lot of good news, like the happy hour.

We all need to be all be reminded that it is NOwhat is in our heart and soul, not

Kudos to the Weedend Today team for doing a Happy Hour. Maybe is the media stopped depressing us all with doom and gloom about the economy, as people become less depressed, so will the economy follow.

we all need to remember it is not what is in our bank account that makes us wealty, but what is in our hears and souls.

Anyone that has someone who they love and/or loves them, whether it be a parent or a child is wealthy, anyone with health is wealthy, anyone who has done something kind for someone else to make the world a better place is wealthy.

we all need to remember what we have in our hearts, not our bankaccounts, and be happy for what we have, not what we may have temporarily lost in the stock market this week.

this is not a permanent condition, but rather just a temporary condition that will change and become better, unless we only concentrate on the glass being half empty, not half full.

SO KEEP UP THE HAPPY NEWS, EVERYONE ELSE IN THE MEDIA SHOULD FOLLOW, AND JUST LIKE IT ALWAYS DOES THE MARKET WILL FOLLOW

SOME OF THE BEST MOVIES WE SEE, LIKE ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE SHOW THAT IT IS OUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE THAT MAKE US WEALTHY, NOT MONEY. WE ALL NEED TO REMEMBER THE LESSONS OF THE PAST.

WE NEED TO REMEMBER THE PAST, LIVE THE PRESENT, AND PLAN FOR THE FUTURE, AND IT WILL ALL BE GOOD !!!

That’s easy to be so optimistic when you’re hurting financially and you can’t pay the bill because your savings have been wiped out thanks to the bad governing president that has made all the wrong decision starting with the war in Iraq as soon as he took power,
just because he had a grudge with Sadam , & not because they had womd. it turned out they didn’t & Bush was barking up the wrong tree instead of taking care of the real taliban in Afghanistan,
don’t get me wrong i didn’t like what Sadam did to his own people
but as it turned out they didn’t have womd so he should have been tried for all the other wrong things he did & we didn’t have any business going in in another country & get a Lot of our boys killed because Bush had a grudge .
Well, people should wake up to what has happened in the last 8 years & vote accordingly.

Just saw the segment with Tom Brokaw. I thought Tom was a very legitimate journalist until this morning when he criticized the McCain campaign for being totally disorganized not knowing if they were Mavericks or following Bush’ s views. John McCain has shown over and over again that he is not following in Bush’s policies on many issues. It would be so nice if the media reported more facts to the general public and leave their own personal politics at the door.

Watching today show this morning i was shocked
at what Matt said, he said could it be Obama’s fault for what’s happening to wall street fall out?

How ignorant of a journalist is that doesn’t he realize that it is Bush’s fault & his 8 years of wrong choices he has made starting with the Iraq war?

He had no business going there because he had a grudge with Sadam for what he did to his father and not because they had WOMD.!

Look how many million we’re spending for this war and that’s very wrong when we need help in this country, he had no business going to another country instead of taking care of his own here.
And what about that Palin & the trooper gate?
She abused her power to fire her ex brother in law .
We don’t need crooks like that to run our country.

I hope people wake up & vote accordingly this time around, enough is enough !

Watched a guy (did not get his name) this morning interviewed by Lester Holt(spelling?) and this guy made a statement something like “..semi retired is like being semi dead…” - what a stupid comment.
I went semi retired in early 2000’s to be with and take care of my wife who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Now in 2008, this very day, my wife is dying and the end could come at any moment now. This has been a very sad and very tough and very expensive time in our lives. But as for being semi retired and semi dead, NEVER. We did a lot of living in the few years my wife had left and to suggest anything else is ignorance.
Keep up the great programs, but please choose your guests who are more educated, more in contact with the reality of day to day living instances and problems of the “common - everyday person” in our country. The Today Show has been an integral part of my morning ritual for the past 26-years. And, I’ve supported your advertisers. To say your coverage of the presidential election has been disappointing, is an understatement. Isn’t your job to inform, educate and enlighten your viewers? I was no McCain fan & set out years ago to learn more about Obama as I truly wanted to vote for the best man to lead the world — not a party. But I’ve grown weary of your apparent lack of interest in presenting any other side. I’m bored with your coverage. It’s so uninspiring and predictable! You’ve done a great disservice to your viewers and I, for one, am moving on. We are living in extraordinary times and I want to learn about my world; I don’t really care who you think should be president.

I quit watching anything on NBC. Until they change their unfair ways of reporting I am not tuning into their channel. We should all join in this together. The press is out of control to the point of scary. It is sad that our country is so biased. What happened to the word United???

A few days ago, I submitted a question regarding the identity of this mysterious man that positions himself in the same place every morning, obviously within clear camera view when Meridith, Ann, Matt and Roaker, are reporting from among the crowd! He has been doing this for quite some time now, and it would really quench my curiousity to finally know who the heck he is, and if he is part of the show in some way.

    Thank’s,

I have noticed the same man. What is up with him?

My real question is Who was the woman giving the information and seminars on how aging feels to our senior citizens. The one where Meredith put the corn in her shoes but Matt didn’t!
I would really like to acquire more information regarding the seminars.
I beleive it aired on Thursday Oct. 23rd, 2008.

Also, I would like to comment on the coverage of the race for President. PLEASE report in a fair and unbiased manner. The public needs to hear both sides from the the republicans and the democrats so we can make an honest decision on who will be the best leader for our country not on who the media thinks should win the race. We NEED to hear BOTH sides and that is what we depend on the media for.

I agree with the articles about Why in the World did the Today Show have to get Kathylee ? She does try to take over Hoda’s part and her rolling her eyes and interupting is such a turn off! Yes I do have the option to turn off my tv when she comes on and most of the time I do!

I love Today with Kathi Lee and Hoda. I’m curious about why Kathi has to be the center of attraction every day. She doesn’t give Hoda or their guests a chance to talk and if they do she does something to make the camera go on her. I do like her but I wish she would give Hoda more of a chance to talk.

Also the Today Show is much better without Natalie. Please keep her off the show.

You’ve had guest’s on talking about the economy, and what to do to save etc. This is all good for the working people, however there are a lot of us retired couples out here that sure could use some good advise. We live on $1700 a month, $500 of that goes out for medication, thank goodness our home and car is paid for and we have no credit card debt, each day we sit and watch our savings and IRA’s melt away. Please tell us what we can do to survive this time of the $’s going down.

As a celeb baby specialist for over 18 years and a baby Nanny I do believe Governor Palin might be going through Postpartum Depression silently. I say this because of her lack of focus and sometimes she is on and at other times she’s in space or lost in putting words and answers to questions together. Maybe she secretly needs some type of help but got the offer to be Vice President and never look back.

She needs help and being Vice President is not the answer for her or the country. Economic depression and Postpartum Depression is not the answer to our foreclosure crisis or the wall street melt down.
I’m going to put “County First” and endorse Obama for President.

I watch the TODAY SHOW every morning. I have gotten to where I turn my tv off when Kathie Lee comes on. She tries to ALWAYS be the center of attention. She interrupts Hoda and today when Hoda was fixing to give the make-over t-shirts out, Kathie Lee GRABBED the shirts out of her hand and gave them to the two ladies. IT MAKES ME SICK TO WATCH KATHIE LEE. Hoda is such a lady. I NEVER had anything against Kathie Lee until she came on TODAY…………..she tries to be the WHOLE SHOW. Please calm her down before she ruins your show.

I love the Today Show, I watch it everyday that I’m not working. I especially like Meredith, she is so down to earth and feels like a friend that you’ve known a long time. However, I cannot understand why this program resurrected Kathy Lee. I do not watch the show when she comes on, she dominates the whole place, takes away from her co-host, we are really tired of listening to her, she was a very poor choice for a co-host in my opinion. So, I turn it off when she comes on. Today on the Halloween show they even had her on with Matt & Meredith, so I switched to Good Morning America with Harry Smith. Please get rid of Kathy Lee so I can watch my favorite show and hosts again. Thanks for listening.

Like it or not, almost 50% of the population is going to vote for McCain. It is obvious that NBC doesn’t care about alienating that constituency. I can’t believe that they don’t even try to hide it though. NBC and NBC news have no credibility any more. I would always tune in to see Tim on election night. I can’t imagine watching NBC now. My next step is to contact their advertisers to tell them I will no longer be purchasing products that are advertised on their network. Also, can someone please tell me how Meredith Vieiera has lasted this long? She looked like a fool with Mitt Romney.

It is painful to watch the personality clash between Hoodia and Kathy Lee. What is going on? Has the election effected their hosting the Today Show? Please, is there some way to help this segment of the Today Show. It’s almost as bad as all the bickering on The Yiew (another network). The competition between Hoodia and Kathy Lee….Hoodia never lets Kathy talk and when Kathy does talk she is so frustrated that she comes across as angry….and the looks they give each other! Hoodia and Kathy are fine when they don’t have to share a camera.

Like the NBC news family along with many Americans I too think and miss Tim Russert not just tonight as election results are being reported, but also on Sunday mornings as I get ready for church. I commented to my mother 11/3, “I can just picture Tim in heaven saying to God with a twinkle in his eyes, “do You think I could have a sneak preview?” I’m also so sorry President-elect Obama’s grandmother couldn’t have lived to see her grandson attain this achievement but, I know without a doubt both she and Tim have had the best seats in the house. Thank the Good Lord for giving America what I and many believe is a new hope. God Bless President-elect Obama, his family NBCs’ staff and thank you to all of you for the wonderful job you have done.

I usually watch your show every morning and this morning was no different. There was a segment where beauty tips were discussed. You had 4 models and you showed changes with the use of a little make up for each it was a different thing used for thier look. My concern is this…I am an African American women over 50 and feel cheated without receiving the benefit of your knowledge on the subject for the darker skin ladies. Not intending to citicise but simply making an observation. Thank you for your time.

I was appalled when I turned on the Today show this morning. I have been watching for 20 years and this is the first comment I have ever sent. When did the media take over our country!?!? When did it become ok to bash and rip apart the Americans willing to sacrifice so much to lead us. What is the motive of the media? Who in their right mind would sacrifice so much and put their family through so much to try and lead this country. The smartest and most reasonable charismatic leaders that I know wouldn’t touch politics with a 10 ft pole and I don’t blame them Is this really something positive!?!? The election is OVER!! QUIT kicking the lovely Sarah Palin. Whether you agree with her politics or not does not give you the right to tear her and her precious family apart. And, give me a break…are you suggesting that she is the only person in the public eye that has gotten a huge clothing allowance?!?! WHO CARES!? I am trying to raise 3 children, an elementary student, a middle school student and a high school student. We are teaching them about honor, respect, integrity and common courtesy. WHO TAUGHT YOU!?!?!? We want our country back. We are desperate for “real” news that is valid and reliable. America needs a morale booster. Where is the good news?!?! Where are the stories about the heroes and the people doing good deeds? Are you not satisfied with the amount of people on anti-depressants, anti-anxieletics, drugs and alcohol. GIVE US OUR COUNTRY AND OUR AMERICAN CULTURE BACK!! We are not interested in hearing the trash every day. I applaud anyone who answers the call to try and serve our country. I am educated enough to respectfully disagree and debate with out trying to personally attack individuals to get ahead. Are you so threatened by the goodness of Sarah Palin?!?! I am officially switching my morning routine to ABC. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!

I would like to comment on two problems. On November 5th you had brunch recipes with cook Katy Brown. I would have loved to been able to have them so that I could make them at home. After the show I watched the video hoping I could figure out the recipes, but to no avail. What is the sense in having a cooking segement if you can not get the recipes? Why can’t you post them. If possible I would appreciate having those recipes sent to my e-mail. The second problem I have seen on your show is Kathy Lee. She is very obnoxious and out speaks Hoda. I like watching Hoda and would like to continue to watch Kathy Lee, but I think someone needs to speak to her about her continuous loud and inappropriate remarks during the show. I think if she could tone it down the show would be a success. I’d hate to see the show cancelled and Hoda out of a job because of Kathy Lee.

I watch the Today show on a very regular basis. For some time now I have wanted to comment on “Todays Talk”. I really have to be frank… Kathy Lee is so selfish and self absorbed that I can hardly watch this part of the program. She interrupts Hoda on a daily if not min, by min basis. I feel she acts like she is the “lead”, and I thought the meaning to this “Todays Talk” is to be informative, entertaining, is a partnership between Kathy and Hoda. An example of Kathy’s judgmental attitude was portrayed today 11/13. Hoda went to explain the story of the girl from American Idol who committed suicide- Kathy had no remorse or concern…. she talked over Hoda and basically said “oh I knew that girl was weird or had problems”. Kathy just moved to a new subject and didn’t show any empathy for the family or friends of the dead. Really I feel she has the wrong attitude for a host on NBC, she seems so rude, selfish, and most of all self absorbed.

I just watched the Decorating on a Dime segment featuring “inexpensive” ideas to refresh the look of our rooms. As nice as the ideas were, you have no idea what decorating on a budget really is. Nine hundred dollars for a foyer chest is reasonable if you really need a new piece, but definately not if your budget is tight. These days most of us do not have hundreds of dollars to devote to refreshing a room. I could show you beautifully framed pieces and refurbished furnishings that truly are beauty on a budget and reclaimed and repurposed things that would make your eyes pop. Where are the rest of decorators who can really do it on the cheap. I know I am not the only one out here. Believe me, I could show you how it is done.

I know that on Monday, November 17, 2008, NBC is starting the “Ends of the Earth” feature and the four key personnel on the show will embark on lengthy road trips to illustrate environmental stories. I saw Meredith just now on our TV in Australia reporting on drought, and there were pictures and statements made that Matt is exploring the natural beauty of Belize, Al is in the geologically active Iceland and Ann is climbing Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro before the snow melts.

As much as I think the idea is a great one, I think the timing of this is absolutely horrible. Are any of you aware of the financial crisis we are in both in the US and globally??? Are any of you aware of how many people are out of work with no money, people losing their homes, businesses closing and retirees who have worked so hard in order to enjoy their retirement are in financial crisis as well.

If you wanted to do this series, why not look around right here in the U.S. and use the rest of the money you would have saved for people in real need!!! There must be an ulterior motive that you sent these 4 people to these far away places.

I have been an avid follower of NBC’s Today Show for absolutely years. I love the Today Show. Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to continue watching the Today Show after hearing and reading about this upcoming week and the money you are spending to make this happen with the “Ends of the Earth” feature.

I am commenting on the save the earth segment. Today you were wanting people to stop using so much paper. Although this could help, paper is biodegradable. I think that plastic needs to be cut out. It is NOT biodegradable. Why can’t we go back to powder washing detergent that is in paper cartons, paper bags, paper milk cartons……..? My solution is try to use MORE PAPER instead of plastic!!!!

I don’t believe that all the correspondents needed to go to all the “ends of the world” to bring us the already familiar message about global warming. How about outsourcing some of the assignments to local correspondents? What about all the fuel costs associated with transporting them around? I know your argument would be somewhere on the lines of how much more effective the message is by sending all the them and that the costs of transporting them is justified by the message they bring to all of us. Bull! I think you’re just looking for ratings and you really don’t care about how much energy resources were wasted. I would compare you to the three automaker CEO’s who came to Washington on three separate private jets looking for the American people to bailout their greedy blunders in the automobile industry!

I love Today, but I was disturbed by Genna Wolf’s ungracious, nay snarkey behavior, on November 30th. Her lack of humor and down right bitchiness towards guest host David Gregory was disconcerting. There are real problems in the world and I resent having to watch pettiness on live TV from people who should be grateful for all they have: a great job, good health, etc. Lighten up, Genna.

    Thanks for letting me vent.

I have some little friends that have cancer. Perhaps you may have heard of some of them. They came to be on your show to represent St. Judes. They were very excited. But, instead of being treated like the heroes that they are, they were treated horribly. I guess it started with Barry Manilow screaming “don’t let those kids in here” meaning into the green room, where most people that are going to be on the show hang out in comfort, to use the private restrooms and have a snack. Did you guys tell Barry to back off, that these kids, many of whom are still undergoing treatments for cancer and are very susceptable to germs, have every right to be in the green room? NO! You instead sent them to a closed food court and made a bunch of immunosuppressed cancer kids, use NYC public restrooms, and wait for a snack they sould have had immediately if they had been welcomed into the green room like they should have! When it was finally time for the show, the kids and their parents were rushed, shoved and screamed at by your staff! I am appalled! At Barry Manilow for hating kids enough to turn away a bunch of little cancer heroes, and at the staff for siding with the kid hater and treating them so terribly, and at all of you for allowing this to happen. You all should be ASHAMED of yourselves! If any of these kids get sick form having to use public restrooms while they are so immunodepressed you could have a lawsuit of your hands. Way to go for making a crowd of sick kids and their parents feel like crap.

I enjoyed watching Barry Manilow on your show last Friday. It was the first time I have watched your show in over a year. I have since heard there is some controversy regarding his appearance, however, it was nice to see him perform. I was a fan of his many, many years ago and his performance brought back many fond memories from years past. I was happy to see that he seems to still doing well and was still in good voice.

However, I understand the parents of the childhood cancer patients are angry. Hell hath no fury like a mother whose child has been mistreated! Not everyone likes kids or wants to be around them; it depends on the idividual. Barry Manilow performed and did what he does best: made music.

If Barry Manilow did, in fact, yell at these kids, I’m not defending him. But there must have been some sort of discussion of the accommodations on the part of both groups to address their needs and concerns prior to the appearance. Most celebrities have advance staffs that handle these things. I sincerely doubt a celebrity who has been around as long as Barry Manilow would appear on a nationally-televised show without any stipulations as to what would be required to ensure his comfort and the comfort of his band.

I also feel sure that the organization, or at the very least, the parents of the children, discussed with the show’s staff in advance the considerations necessary to ensure the comfort and health of these very frail and precious children. If I were the parent of a child with childhood cancer, I would have talked to everyone in the building prior to showing up for the appearance in order to ensure that the health and comfort of my child was being considered in every way, from access to snacks and drinking water, to the proximity of restrooms and a warm, comfortable place for them to wait.

The Today Show staff should have done some prep work ahead of time to ensure the comfort and privacy of all guests on the show and make sure that everyone was taken care of. I would have expected this from a show that has been on the air for decades and hosted thousands of guests. This is simple courtesy, something any host should do when expecting guests. It doesn’t seem to be a job left to interns, but rather to someone more professional with more experience in dealing with guests.

I don’t know the details of how NBC handled the pre-show for these kids but it sounds like it was botched. Manilow is well known for his charitable work and has worked for Starlight and other foundations. I am sure he would not treat these children badly but perhaps did not know who they were and thought the public was coming into the green room which would have posed a security threat to anyone of his stature. Without all the details of how NBC handled it, it is wrong to blame Manilow. And even if they were to have a green room (which they should) there were enough of them to warrant their own space. Green rooms are not usually designed to handle a large crowd and when groups are booked on these shows, they have to make alternative arrangements so as not to crowd all the other guests who are waiting. A crowded room can make it difficult for the next guest to hear their call and to prepare for their appearance. It sounds like NBC really messed this up.

  165. #165 Curt
    on Dec 5th, 2008 at 8:57 pm

HA! C’mon seriously. Are you saying Manilow makes his decisions about how to treat people (especially, in this case, children) based on how “important” they are. How arrogant!

Sam, what you wrote above is no defense of him, it’s a pure indictment of his character.

NBC may or may not have messed this up, but Barry revealed a very arrogant attitude.

Ya’ll need to seriously get real and stop talking about “under what conditions is it OK for grown men to yell at children.” Do you really need me to tell you that answer?!?

I used to love watching The Today show but no longer can I stomach it. What are you thinking??? Kathy Lee Gifford is obnoxious and totally self-involved. No one can get a word in when she’s present. Do you not see this. She’s hurting your ratings. Everything is all about Kathy or her kids or blah blah blah. Her poor host. Hoodia (maybe mispelled) is wonderful and you can tell that she’s miserable. Seriously, what is your network thinking. Someone has do something and get Kathy Lee off the air.

What’s with Kathie Lee talking over everyone? If I’m not mistaken she has a host right? Why aren’t the directors, producers, crew guys, whoever is in charge doing something about her narcissistic and annoying behavior? I feel for Hoda, she is never able to get a word in or finish a thought. Even the show’s guests can’t get a word in. Does Kathie Lee realize that there are other people besides herself? She’s unbelievable and she’s going to destroy The Today’s Show’s culture if you continue to let this conduct continue. Please do something to either shut her up or get her off the show.

    Hi,

I watch the Today Show every morning. I really like Lester and know that he cares about animals. However, this morning he made me really angry and I felt like I needed to contact you. I’ve never done this before. This morning you had a segment on pets for the holidays dealing specifically with puppies. I think they could have stressed more that it’s important for someone to be home with a puppy during the day when it’s young. But the part that upset me was when they showed the shelter puppy and Lester remarked that he got his from a shelter and he had all kinds of medical bills. What was he thinking!!! That was a very bad advertisement for shelter dogs. I volunteer in shelters and rescues and every pet I own is from one of these. Puppy mill puppies have more medical problems. I would hope that you get other emails from other people who felt the same way. Lester needs to know that this really upset some of us faithful viewers. Thank you for listening.

When you show clothing that can be bought at what you call cheap I have no idea who you are talking to. The average person doesn’t make the type of money you must think we do. By the time the average person spends enough for the whole outfit you are showing it amounts to $300 to $500 and in that case you’re looking at a person able to buy 1 outfit a year. Its the average person who watches your show. Please give us a break not everyone has your kind of money and we don’t live in New York.

    Thank you….

I remember the first Today show. I’ve have been an NBC fan for all these years in morning television. But, now you have just killed what quality you have had over most of your segments. Kathie Lee is so self-centered. And for her information Al Greene and Marvin Gaye don’t sound the same… as she said this “Oh they all sound the same”. She offers NOTHING!!!
PLEASE, do us a favor … put Katie Lee on hold. She ruins the last hour… which could be a good platform for information.

This morning you said this Christmas companies are making returns easier due to the econmy.

BORDERS one of the largest book sellers has negatively changed its return policy.

I tried to return a girf book. Never even opened with a Borders sticker on the back. I was told with out a receipt or gift receipt
they will not even exchange it. For me it’s embarrashing to tell the person I received the book from that I am returning it.

WHY DON”T YOU CONTACT BORDERS TO CONFIRM, THEN GIVE A RETRACTION ON THE AIR.

I AM A MEMBER OF A 100 MEMBER BOOK CLUB. BORDERS JUST LOST 100 CUSTOMERS. i CALLED THEIR CUSTOMERS RELATION DEPARTMENT WITH THIS INFORMATION…THEY COULD CARE LESS.

    12/23

I took my father to the doctors today and while waiting in the reception area they had on the Today show. Thank goodness I was near medical help, after watching a short span of the show, I was so depressed I was practially suicidal.

It was one negative thing after the next.

First it was baby boomers and affordable medical coverage. Even when over 80% gave a positive responce, the negative responce was highlighted.

Then it was on to people being snowed in at an airport. Sorry there is nothing that can be done with Mother Nature. But instead of showing positive things the airport was doing to help the upset travellers or how workers were trying to open the airport, we had some woman crying (whining) that they were still there.

Luckily there was then a 30 second positive thing on Obama to try and lift our spirits out of depression.

Then we were back to people not being able to afford Christmas and how everyone was overpaying at the last minute. Nothing positive about people remembering its not about the presents, its being with those you love. The entire thing on Christmas - spending money and getting gifts. And through the whole thing there was nothing positive said.

To the cast, crew, producers and everyone at the Today Show, please, life is tough, show some positive things. There are things out there that can make people smile. Its easy to point out the negative, but is it not better to be positive?

President Elect Obama Personally Addressed by SAFE Foundation in Chicago Tribune

On 12/14/2008, in the Chicago Tribune, the SAFE Foundation (www.safefoundationusa.org), respectfully requested President Elect Obama’s endorsement for their new program. SAFE did not ask for money, only President Elect Obama’s endorsement. The SAFE Foundation recently started a new program capable of helping millions of disaster stricken American citizens and simultaneously helping our countries economy recover. SAFEs program is very effective and based around common sense thinking. Without a doubt, SAFEs new program will produce many positive results. Results that will benefit the “American Citizens” across our Country.
I am personally very curious as to why President Elect Obama has not yet responded to the SAFE Foundations request for his endorsement of their program. This is an excellent example of the type of “CHANGE” the American people need. With just a few spoken words to the News Media, President Elect Obama would enable the SAFE Foundation to help millions of devastated American citizens. I am hoping President Elect Obama will soon grant the request of the SAFE Foundation, as many Americans desperately need help NOW!
I also hope that the news media is truly concerned with the well being of our devastated American people. Concerned enough to give the SAFE Foundation nationwide media exposure. The exposure that would help the SAFE Foundation quickly achieve their goal of helping millions of disaster stricken Americans across our country.
My personal opinion: If the News Media has the air time and resources to repeatedly give media coverage concerning President Bush’s dog leaving the White House and predicting what breed of dog the Obama’s will purchase to move into the White House, they have plenty of air time to help the SAFE Foundation save our devastated American citizens.
Soon we will all see who is truly concerned with the well being of our fellow Americans in distress and who merely claims to be concerned.

I recently purchased a HDTV and it became really obvious, how obnoxious the banner is across the lower half of the screen. It contains virtually no meaningful information, obscures nearly a third of the screen’s HD pictures and news coverage and is totally distracting since it is constantly gyrating, flashing or doing other hoop-de–dos.
I could only tolerate for about 15 minutes before the cameras went outside to show the “Screaming Idiots”. That was enough for me and I had to shut the TV off.

PS. If NBC wants market share they should show more of Natalie and Amy and a less of Jenna.

Great use of the additional bandwidth!

This morning on the Today Show I was watching the story about John Travolta’s son and Nancy Snyderman commented on Kawasakis syndrome that his son had as a young child. My son was diagnosed with Kawasakis disease at age 3 and he was in critical condition at John’s Hopkins Hospital and every three years he needs an echocardiogram. I feel that Nancy Snyderman made this (syndrome) sound as if it were just a childhood disease and no big deal. It is a very serious condition even if the effects are positve after the symptoms have disappeared . My son was giving gamaglobulin and had very little ischemia of the right coronary artery, but had to take aspirin for one year after being diagnosed. All of these kids should be followed up for this it can have potentional long term effects. My son is now 13 and is doing fine, but he was within the last 2 years diagnosed with Aspergers. His health is fine. Please take the time to respond to me if you can and remember that if you make a segment that involves this condition please don’t make light of it. Thank you

I can’t believe Hoda let Kathie Lee shove that story about the baby in the king cake representing the baby Jesus down her throat! The twelfth night after Christmas in some religions is believed to be the night the Magi came to the location where Jesus was born, hence it’s known as King’s Day, and that’s where this cake gets its name. When the King cake originally was served it did not contain a baby! Plastic had not ev en been invented then! Too bad someone didn’t take time to research this and have Koda make the correction on air.

It is not surprising that Coulter stirs passion. What is surprising is the lack of tolerance for intelligent listening, considering and examination of positions…even that of Coulter. I happen to use her books for intelligent discussion of political life in 21st Century America. High school seniors are much more able to research and talk intelligently than some of TODAY’s viewers. Sad, isnt’t it that truth cannot be tolerated. Read the books. Research out the examples and be person enough to realize falling off the wagon for ANY political agenda is what has gotten this country in this mess that I, personally, do not believe we will emerge any decade soon.

The reason I don’t watch FOX is so that I don’t have to be confronted with the likes of Ann Coulter, among others. This woman should not be allowed on The Today Show in order to spew her hate for those who chose not to agree with her, and her totally baseless/factless agenda. She mentioned that she feels more safe than ever after 8 years of the Bush/Cheney terror dictatorship… I venture to say that at least 80% of this country, if not more, don’t, and can’t wait to see them leave DC with their tails between their legs. Hopefully, they will be tried in the Hague for war crimes, and sentenced to life in prison. And so what if Barack’s middle name is Hussein? So What!?! She must have mentioned B. Hussein Obama at least 10 times, as if that would instill some sort of fear in the general populace. The era of instilling fear and hatred is over. This is the beginning of hope and change. So, Ann Coulter… go peddle your fear based/fact based, unintelligible agenda on those that know no other way. Get out of New York! And stay off the network channels! The time is over for you, and your kind.

Am I the only one who noticed Al Roker’s open mike comments yesterday morning 1/16/09? It was just before 9 a.m. ET when he was handing off for the local weather forecasts. He and Natalie Morales were discussing what was coming up in the next hour when Al would be having his kid’s book discussion. When they thought that the local weather forecast had kicked in, they were making comments about the guys in the control booth. Al made some particularly snide remarks about one of the “guys” (unnamed) and topped it off by saying something like “but at least he’s sober today”. Now, I’m not naive enough to think this kind of stuff doesn’t get said off-mike. And it’s not an earth-shattering mistake. I’m just surprised that there wasn’t any mention of this on-air afterwards or an apology by Al or anyone else. Is it that Al is above getting reprimands? Maybe it only happened on Channel 10 in the Philly market, but that’s a pretty big market for no one to have noticed. Or maybe standards have sunk to a new low.

I miss Katie Couric. Merideth can be very rude. She seems uncomfortable in front of the camera also. I think she tries to make her fellow teammates look bad when she can . Something about her is not being herself and if she sais the word “exactly” one more time, I’m gonna scream!!!!!!! Sorry, mad viewer.

It really irks me when at times u have worthless junk and sessions of comments that are worthless .. Here u ask food Chefs to appear on ur program and then cut them short or run out of time,, and to put the finishing on the cake,,, there is someone that can’t wait to stuff their face with the food that the chef wasn’t allowed to complete, or someones comment is heard,,, can we eat it,,, Hey NBC feed ur people and let the chefs complete their segment or do away with it,,,

I was horrified to hear how predjudice the black woman on President Obama’s unofficial staff was! I thought we left that kind of talk behind when she said she couldn’t wait to tell steve Spielberg “no” and Spike “yes” to the white house parties. If a white woman had said that she would be gone. This is not a good start. I am wondering if I made a mistake by believing in and voting for Obama. I want to see what he does about her predjudice!!!!!!!

I love the Today show, watch it every day & really enjoy the hosts. They seem to get along & work well together. My only complaint (and it’s a big one) is I have to turn the show off at 10am so I don’t have to listen to Kathy Lee Gifford. Is she really the best you could do? She was fine with Regis, but her time is over & there has to be a co-host out there who is fresh, interesting , not bitter & over bearing and can be a better co-host to Hoda. Hoda does a good job & I feel sorry for her trying to get thru the show when she isn’t given much opportunity to talk. Please give me a reason to stay tuned after 10am…Thanks!

I just saw Dr. Jamie Grifo talking about higher order multiples on the Today Show and compeletly understand the dangers of multiple births. As the mom of monoamniotic twins (conceived naturally) I was hghly offended by his comment that even mother nature makes mistakes when twins and triplets are conceived naturally. I believe that my twins are a true blessing. Dr. Grifo should choose his words more carefully.

    on Jan 30th, 2009 at 2:58 pm

Your program should be sued for 8 counts of child abouse for endangering the well-being of 8 children. I am thoroughly horrified at your coverage of the birth of the 8 babies. You play God in a way that is no different than if you entered the nursery where these 8 babies lie in their bassinettes, and you stand in front of each of these 8 babies and you look in their face and you say “It would have been better if you had never been born.” One day in the not to distant future each of these children will here that it was aired on television by “experts” and news people that some, if not all of these eight babies should never have been born because the mother (parents) already had enough sons or daughters and they didn’t need any more. I find you all to be evil people. I STAND AS SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT IT IS LIKE TO HAVE THAT SAID ABOUT THEM!!! All my life I have been told “jokingly” that my parents cried when I was born because they already had enough daughters and they didn’t need any more. Do you have any idea the emotional trauma this has caused me throughout my life, to know people say I didn’t deserve to be born???????? I have had psychological problems all my life because of this. YOUR PROGRAM HAS NOW ENDANGERED THE PSYCHOLOGICAL WELFARE OF 8 BABIES WHO WILL GROW UP KNOWING THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO PUBLICALLY SAY THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO BE BORN. Your newscasters and ‘expert’ guests are going to stand in front of God one day, and you will all find out that “The JOKE IS NOW ON YOU!!!” You will be held accountable for your cruel treatment of these innocent children. These these innocent children alone FOR GOD’S SAKE, and let them live their lives without your cruel influence. Speaking as someone who knows the damage you have already done, “you are evil doers and I abhor you.” God abhors evil doers.
    Signed,
An Unwanted Daughter of Parents Who Already Had Enough Daughters.

i agree with everthing that has been said about Kathy Lee. Hoda is so professional. I do not see how Hoda can put up with her. Kathy is so self centered. You cannot enjoy a good interview with a guest because she cannot stand to not be talking all the time. She thinks she is making funny, cute comments all the time. Who does Kathy Lee think she is condemning someone else about moral behavior? At least Phelps did not hire children under unbearable conditions to make clothes? I really love the Today Show and Hoda Lee but ever since Kathy Lee came on board the last segment including her is now turned off. She is unbearable to watch much less listen to. She is always interrupting everyone else with her comments which are usually foolish. PLEASE GET A NEW HOST for Hoda……it is obvious she does not enjoy her host either. And to Kathy Lee—-how did you get your job? Did the Exec’s at NBC use her to get child labor too? Watch what you say Kathy…we all know what you are about!!!!:

    C’mon, enough already !
This woman is an opportunist, and is soaking up daylight for all it’s worth, and you guys have been “played”, by paying her “for her story”. ???.
(or, maybe you just “blew it” by missing the first interview with Sully, and the flight crew that went into the Hudson ?)

I was watching today with interest about the 2010 World Olympics and was wondering why with a year to go are you covering this now. The reason for my interest is that as I am writing this the World Special Olympics are going on right here in little Boise, Idaho. The news media from around the world that are here can not figure out why the United States is not covering this event. I didn’t know if the atheletes were not worthy in your mind or is it that being in Boise, Idaho it isn’t worthy. The Vice President was due in today but was delayed due to weather, which is confussing to me in that in Idaho we get a 7 day forcast, and are able to schedule around the weather. Just curios.

I am a big fan of the Today Show and everyone on it. I have to say that the comment that Janice Huff made Sunday Morning February 22, 2009 was really inappropriate. Many people outside were wearing leis and after a man gave her one she remarked “I got laid on the plaza.” No matter if you spell it laid, layed or leid, it was certainly in poor taste. I am not a prude, but that remark would have been better left unsaid. Thank you all for making my mornings so interesting.

I enjoy watching The Today Show & especially look forward to the first hour of your boadcast. You usually enlighten us with cutting edge news however, your most recent coverage of the media addicted Nadya Suleman has become stale and over the top. During that same hour I was thrilled to hear the important news about the plight of David Goldman finally receiving assistance from Secretary of State Clinton in order to regain custody of his son in Brazil. THAT was newsworthy. PLEASE, if you must feed this “Octumom” garbage to us, kindly update us on the health of the children, all 14, and stop giving this woman the air-time that so many others deserve. Jerry Springer (a program I choose not to watch) dedicates an entire hour to “Freak Shows.” Do not misunderstand, I feel for those children, they need our assistance, follow their journey. You know Kathy Lee is not a good co-host. How insulting and inconsiderate for her to speak of our Spanish American neighbors as criminals. “I don’t know any of the bad people from South America” she said over and over. Leaving us to believe that she doesn’t know many Latinos who she imagines are criminal. The old familiar statement, “… some of my best friends are black, spanish, etc”. Her stereotyping of other people is narrow-minded and very rude.

When Matt visits places of interest this year, he should make Kowaliga, Alabama one of the places. The most beautiful lake , a picture post card. Hank Williams wrote the song Kowaliga here. There was more gold pulled out than the California gold rush. It is a man made lake and the gold mines were flooded when the lake filled. It has beautiful restaurants, cheap rentals. The most relaxing or exciting place to be. There are lots of water sports and so many interesting places to visit like goat island, chimney rock when lots of boats stop to see people dive or jump off. Katherines Restaurant if a fun fun place to visit and it is surrounded with cabins like people lived in about 1900.

I think at least 95% of your viewers are very unhappy with Kathy Lee. I know I am, and it was a great comfort to see for myself on different websites that I am not alone!! Out of at least 30 comments I have observed, I only found one Kathy Lee fan. I personally believe she posted that comment herself!! It sounded just like something she would say. “I just love Kathy Lee, she is such a great addition to the Today Show. She shines over Hoda and is so beautiful and on and on.” Come on, you are kidding right? If Kathy Lee did not post that comment, then her soul mate did. This person is as full of themself as she is!! Just please find some way, any way to get rid of her! PLEASE. For our sake and your ratings!! Try Billy for one week and check out the change in ratings! I think you will be very surprised! You should change the name of the show to “The Al Roker Show”. That man cannot let anyone finish a thought or action without jumping into the act. He continuously steps on everyone’s lines, plays with the food while a guest chef is preping a meal and he is constantly being the buffoon with the public outside of the studio and the cast inside of the studio. I will admit, he is not the only cast member guilty of stepping on lines. As of recently, they all seem to do that with the exception of Natalie Morales and the real star of the show, ANN KURRY (?).

After watching John C. McGinley on the Bonnie Hunt Show… and listening to his comments on his son and Down Syndrome… I felt compelled to write to your show and hope that you could be as sensitive to the “R” word which is thrown around so casually by some of your guests.

An incident happened on your show in December and it has been bothering me ever since. Matt was interviewing Kristin Chenoweth about her new Christmas Album. Matt asked her why she would record that as her first album and Kristin stated….”because I am so retarded (or I am such a retard) that I never want Christmas to end.” The fact that she made the comment was unbelievable to me, but more so was the fact that Matt didn’t even notice. I wonder if he would have been so quiet if someone had used the “N” word?

Why am I so sensitive to the use of people mocking retardation? Because 7 months ago my wonderful daughter had her 3rd beautiful son and he was born with Down Syndrome. He is an angel, but he will have retardation due to the extra chromosome. And yes, she knew 4 months into her pregnancy, and yes she was asked if she wanted to terminate (and over 90% of the people do) but she said this baby was conceived in love and would be loved.

Baby Michael is already a charmer, but life won’t be easy. At 5 months he already had open heart surgery in NYC. It is not an easy life for these little ones… and they don’t need people making fun of them.

Why don’t you have John McGinley on your show? I am sure he will wear his Tshirt which is printed with, …Spread the Word to End the Word 3/31/09.

So tell me, Matt… did you even notice that Kristin used the “R” word or were you just distracted by her beautiful green, very low cut dress???

The Octumom is only the logical progression of American women who get pregnant to support themselves. We have become a culture that enables this type of behavior. Whether through, child support, government assistance, or Dr. Phil. These women know that no one will take their children away, and someone will pay for them. It is a personal financial security issue that has little, if anything to do with the love of children. It is about me, me, me. If you don’t think so, listen to her 9-1-1 call after she misplaced her son.

Am I the only viewer that cannot stand the way Natalie and Ann talk over people???? I feel very “stressed” watching their interviews. They won’t let anyone answer the questions they ask. Ann seems very confusing… she appears concerned and sympathetic during interviews, but then doesn’t LISTEN to answers. It discredits her apparent “concern”.There seems to be so many other newscasters out there that would do a more clear, concise, direct interview without confusing the viewer. I’m sure they are 2 wonderful women, but someone needs to tell them to correct these traits. Sometimes I change channels to avoid them.

For starters you have a very good morning program. I try to watch it every morning if my son is not begging for sesame street! I am from Minnesota (Bigfork, you will have to google that one) and today on your program tikie went to minesota to go ice fishing! 4/1/09 I know some people think we are CRAZY to do this but it is fun. You can take the whole family and also do some ice skating if the fish are not bitting for the moment. (or for the day). But I just want to comment that if you really want to experience MINNESOTA you need to come up north further. about 5 hours more north then were you were. Im about 80miles from the canadian border and the lakes are about every 6miles apart if even that far in some parts. Up here is the truth to the 10,ooo lakes. It was nice to here about my area today so I would like to say THANK YOU for expanding your minds!!!

I am SO interested in learning the name of the fantastic trumpet player and violinist who played on the Today Show that aired in the Midwest today, April 3, 2009. It would be very nice if the names of the performers were shown at the bottom of the screen during a performance. I am sure I’m not the only listener who would like to purchase some of the great music that is featured on the programs.

I was on my way home from Florida when a relative called me and told to about your show on Dystonia and the interview between Meredith and the lady from California who had Dystonia on her left neck. I have Dystonia in my left foot and I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease with Dystonia being one of my symptoms. I do not have any of the other symptoms of Parkinson’s so now I am wondering what I have. I did go to a wonderful clinic in Naples, florida while I was on vacation and got more info so now I am anxious to go to my own neurologist here to start my botox shots as my foot curls up to the side and I am unable to walk on that foot without a brace. It is painful when it curls up and very wobbly in my gait. I did fall in NOv. and broke my right hip so I had to have a partial hip replacement. There were many complications with the surgery and many days of rehab which I am not through with yet.
I have tried to keep up because I know this is the only way I will get through this and I was so glad to get on the internet and hear your interview from April 2. Oprah had Michael J. Fox the same week and I missed that too but someone taped that for me. Is there anyway I could e-mail the lady you interviewed. Meredith, so we could give each other moral support? Thanks for all you do. Paula DeDominicis

Children are not that stupid.Women do a great job both in and outside the home, sure we miss things so does dad, does she think his loss is less great? Hi Meredith, Matt, and Al, this is Evan and i was just in nyc and went to your show. I got on t.v. on the date of 4/13/09. Then you were shaking people’s hands and you were one person away from me! I was the person who was in the blue jacket. I’m only 11. I have questions. Why do you stay inside for a long time? Maybe you could do interviews outside? We’re cold, why can’t you be?

In response to Patricia’s comment about Dr. Laura’s son not realizing he had a working mother, I can tell her that I had that experience. I am 57. My mother was a teacher: first high school, then a college professor. It was only when I had my own children that I realized I had a working mother. She was always at home when I was at home, because our holidays were the same and our hours were very similar. Often my older brother would ride the bus to her school, where we would do homework while she prepared for the next day.

I interpret Dr. Laura’s directive to mean not to leave preschool children with daycare, but to structure your family and working life so that one or the other parent is there when the children are sponges and defenseless. It makes a huge difference in their lives. My working mother did it best of all. And when I was a teeneager, she obtained her PhD, but being at home when I was sleeping or out with my friends on Friday and Saturday nights. This was in the 1960’s and unheard of for most women at that time. She planned carefully. I was never in daycare nor did I have a nanny. It can be done.

While watching the show today and learning that you folks are going on a trip around the country it ignited our own desires. This is something that my husband and I have dreamed about doing for ages. We call our trip “Breakfast in America”. We live in a small Maine city and my husband, Paul, and I spend many mornings having breakfast with other local folks and chat and learn about their wishes and desires, their political and close to home views and their feelings in general. We have taken a few trips, mostly down the east coast to Georgia and Florida and have made it a point to stop in at morning breakfast spots to talk with the “locals”. It is a wonderful experience and something that we would like to do all across the country. We believe that in talking with the “ordinary people” you find out nearly all the good and the not-so-good things that are going on in their area and the country in general. Unfortunately, we do not have the purse strings to embark on such a trip at this time. Course, if we don’t do it soon, it might be too late, since we are both in our early seventies (ha, ha). However, if such a trip should become possible, I intend to put “Breakfast in America” in a book. Thanks for listening.

I hated the way Matt Lauer set up the vice-pres.
he was asking him stupid sounding questions just
to try to get him to say something the press could
jump on, and when they repeated his answer all day
long on every news show, they never showed the part
with Lauer`s questions, which I think was very
stupid to ask a v.p. he pushed him into making a long statement, which then sounded paranoid. good old republician matt. he is a stuck-up snob anyways. Meridith is the best on the whole show.
Also why is Al Roker allowed to say stupid things
sing and take over the show, he is so annoying.

Matt Lauer questions Gov. Palin’s daughter of “sending a mixed message” by holding her child lovingly and happily while warning teens about the difficulty raising a baby. Assuming a difficult, self-sacrificing responsibility with love is expected of all parents, regardless of age. The baby is never to blame or to be considered the “problem”. The mixed message was sent by the host who would question this as unusual in our quick-fix abortion addicted culture.

That hammerhead shark story last month was horrible, and you could tell by the faces of Matt and Meredith that I am not alone in thinking “That poor hammerhead” …that kind of stuff is self-serving and over the line. I faithfully watch the Today show daily and have always enjoyed it.
Today is a sad day mourning the loss of such great stars. I don’t understand how you can devote your entire show to one artist (Michael Jackson). Farrah Fawcett was an icon also and it seems as though she has been forgotten in the media coverage of Michael Jackson. I am certain this is very painful to her family as well as her many fans. She truly was a very brave and courageous lady who deserves more recognition in her struggle to live. She shared with the world her darkest moments. She was not a “freak” as was Michael Jackson. Give her some respect also.
Thanks for allowing me to voice my frustrations.

Big Today Show fan, but have some suggestions. Tell Ann and Natalie not to talk over the guests - so annoying. Put a t-shirt on Hoda. Why do you give so much air time to actors and actresses promoting their “tell-all” books and then embarassingly rush the chefs that have obviously taken alot of time and effort into their presentations? Enough already with the Michael Jackson death and aftermath!!!! The show has overdone it to the point where I’ve switched to the another channel. I keep coming back to see if they’re done with it but no they aren’t. Can the hosts and producers think that most of the people watching really care that much about his life and death? We’re dealing with real life events, loss of jobs, the economy in general and all this info about Michael’s wealth just makes me sick.
A couple of other things, let the chefs have time to do the whole presentation. They hurry them through that and then go to someone singing for five minutes, please stop doing that. Tell Matt to not be so rude to the guests. Tell Kathy to stop insulting Hoda, it’s just not funny. For years I watched Good Morning America and I may make the switch back anyway.

On your show this morning (July 7th) the woman who does the blogs said “where the heck is Newton, IA” to which Kathie Lee
said “even the Governor doesn’t know where Hospers, IA is!” If our governor, who was elected by Iowans, doesn’t know where certain towns are, then he needs to get out his atlas.

I was raised in Iowa. I know where Newton and Hospers is. Why do you have to make fun of towns in Iowa? Have any of

I have watched the Today Show almost from its inception…..I have argued that it TOO is a fair and unbiased news show…however…this morning, whether you like Sarah Palin or not, I felt that Ann, who I have admired in the past, stooped to her lowest moment…….Mrs. Palin’s former son-in-law, an irresponsible 19 year old, was used by Ann to try to make news….Who is really out for the money? Mrs. Palin? her former son in law, who is literally selling himself in any way he can? or is it NBC and Ann trying to make the news? Ann did everything she could to put words in his mouth…news needs to come from a reliable source…he has everything to gain by his appearance…Ann just lost my interest in her……she rushed and pushed until she lost me…..give her another show…I have no respect for her…….or her guest

Is it just me or was Meredith hostile while interviewing President Obama today (7-21-09) on healthcare reform? I have been watching the today show for 20+ years and have NEVER seen anyone be as disrespectful to a United States president, candidate, or any other elected official.
After the segment ended, she commented about him evading her question, but he actually did answer the question. Most skilled interviewees don’t answer yes/no , especially when being asked a question that requires explanation. He actually did address the question, but even if he didn’t answer, she should have been more respectful. I actually felt like I was watching a FOX news interview. – which is NOT a compliment. If I wanted to watch hostile news reporting, then I would be watching another network. NBC should have made a better decision than to give such an important interview to Meredith. Is she even a journalist? I can understand the appeal of having her on the show. She can be funny at times (like when she is aggravating Martha Stewart) but lets face it, she does not have the skill level to be a considered a hard hitting journalist.

Oxycotin is Heroin. It is the hardest drug to ever recover from and most don’t. Their lives are ruined because a doctor just wrote a prescription without any responsibility for the results.

I awoke this AM to Natalie’s interview of Craig and Pam Akers and was reminded once again why I never watch the news. Shame on Natalie’s relentlessly cruel questions, shame on the Akers for appearing (15 min. of fame? Not enough the last go round?), and, finally, shame on NBC. Poor Shawn Hornbeck, his story needs to be resurrected and dusted off every time there is a kidnap victim who is being shielded from the press or has the current victims’ family already sold their story to another media outlet? I’ve personally been involved in national tragedies as far back as 1973 and know that tears translate into big bucks for the “Media”. Share your feelings with friends, family, and in group therapy. Translate them into good deeds. Make the media work for us, not vice versa. Thank you for this forum.

This morning, as every morning, I watch the Today show. I am so tired of the American people making such a big-to-do over 911. Yes, it was tragic, but what about the Oklahoma City bombing? Wasn’t it just as tragic? Families still live who have members killed in that too. And also, wasn’t this done by one of our own???? (I’m not saying dismiss 911, but that the Oklahoma City bombing should have just as much attention.) Those people went about their NORMAL EVERY DAY life of going to work, going into an office housed there on business, went to day care while their mothers worked. They didn’t elect to get on a plane (and I realize that some of the people in 911 weren’t on planes, but in similar circumstances as those of the Oklahoma City bombing.) BOTH situations were tragic and BOTH situations left families with missing members. Let’s just give BOTH situations the same attention!

While watching the show today with Kathi Lee and Kota, I was very disturbed and disappointed in a comment made by Jay Leno during his interview. I was a huge fan of his and was really looking forward to watching his new show, however, now I am no longer a fan and hope he flops. His comment: When asked about his feelings about the upcoming shows success he stated in some fashion that he didn’t care because he was already RICH…
I feel this is very distasteful especially with the times the way they are.. I am still a huge fan of the Today Show but no longer afan of Jay Leno…. Keep up the good work…

I am so sick of the race card being thrown into every conversation about Obama. When asked by Matt about the shout out “you lie” all kinds of allegations are thrown into the mix. No he (i don’t recall his name), didn’t personally hear the Senator say these things but the implications are there. Come on!!!!!!! Get real Bush was called everything in the book. Grow up,and let this president do his job with out all this crap. He’s a big boy and as I recall during his campaign said out of his own mouth he is ready for the job. Let him do it and stop all the whining…..

I was so disappointed in the couple whose child was implanted in the other woman. They didn’t seem to have enough compassion for the poor woman who is carrying THEIR child. I just saw the couple interviewed, and the acted as though this was an inconvience instead of a blessing. They should have been showering Carolyn w/praise for carrying their child to term for them. I think that woman should do the same for Carolyn.

Baby “D” may be autistic. Autistic children do not make eye contact, do not have emotions, and do not connect with anyone. I think the mother was a good parent as she is to her girls. This baby will not bond with anyone if autistic. He/she needs proper diagnosis with a child psychiatrist who can initiate therapy.

To the Producers of the Today Show (relating to the segment of the slaughter of a poor helpless alligator on the Oct 4 th 2009 show),

I have always been a fan of the Today Show and in particular Lester Holt.

As a passionate animal lover, I was thoroughly appalled at the above mentioned segment. It was a morally repugnant and offensive to air such a segment.

It is incomprehensible how the said producers could warrant setting a stage for people who condone the meaningless and unwarranted slaughter of a helpless creature.

It was apparent that the alligator was no threat to this family and regardless, with big grins on the faces of both father and son, they bragged about the kill and brought the head of this creature onto the show itself.Morbid to say the least, and downright disturbing that the network allowed the family to have a stage to detail such a hideous event.

The network should be seriously taken to task to allow this to happen.Even Mr. Holt, who must have some input into the production of the show, stood and acclaimed the 6 year old as fearless instead of what he really was-a puppet to the cowardice act of his father.

Finally, it is evident that the only way the network and Lester will feel the brunt of this mismanaged story would be the loss of valuable viewers.

Thus for the reasons as detailed above, I for one will never view the Today Show again unless there is a serious apology emanating from the producers-Lester Holt.

    Yours regretfully,

    Howard Diamond and family

I find the Today Show logo across the bottom of the screen extremely distracting. I expecially find the moving colors on the top of the logo border to be exceptionally distracting. I find that I watch the moving colors, rather than watching the video. In addition, when the logo is enlarged (at times during the broadcast) it takes almost 20-30% of the viewing area and blocks part of the video. Sometimes, it blocks the words that are show with the video.

Please discontinue the moving colors and consider making the logo transparent or remove it completely.

I watch Today from San Antonio, TX and from Houston, TX.

    Thanks and regards,

I just saw a story of the grandma who was awarded $40,000 for cursing cop resisting arrest then telling the cop to go ahead and tase her which he did -she resisted. Why did she get rewarded for breaking the law repeatedly? Then right after her story you air the story of Zachary a little boy who was suspended from school and faces 45 days in a juvenile facility for bringing a camping tool to school. This little boy was just going to eat lunch with his camping tool he did not comprehend it as a weapon hes to young! He had parents that support and seem to have raised a very smart and adjusted child that just wanted to eat lunch with his new camping tool!I think school officials should talk to this child and realize hes not a threat.I have 2 boys and understand the reasons for weapon policies in school but this is going way too far.I also believe it’s a miscarriage of justice to air fowl mouth law breaking granny who got a huge payout for breaking the law all caught an tape and this innocent child being punished so harshly for something he does not even comprehend as wrong because he just wanted to eat lunch with a new camping tool.I hope Zachary gets back to school soon and his record is wiped cleaned and true justice would be another $40,000 payout this time to someone I truly feel has been victimized by the system because granny asked for what she got and it’s a total outrage this woman got paid anything for what she did! God Bless Zachary and his family.Good luck and I’ll be praying you all get the justice you deserve.

Tasered granny….Shame on her. A former SCHOOL TEACHER. Did she teach respect in her classes, or did RULES and REGULATIONS only apply to certain students? She is wasting taxpayers money. She says she is not smart money wise. She has to know exactly what she is doing and sounds like she is being “coached” incorrectly by those who surround her. What does she believe young people are thinking not only about her excuses about age and her “occasional” anger, but how she knows and admitted to how she should have reacted instead. She should return all money, pay her fines she owes for such horrible behavior, and APOLOGIZE to the officer that was just doing his job. Have some pride and do the RIGHT THING! It is sad that the whole thing happened in the first place. That is why speed limit signs are put up….to protect YOU and the PEOPLE AROUND YOU.

OUTRAGEOUS!!! What makes “Taser Granny” think she is entitled to compensation for breaking the law. I saw the footage of her DUI stop. Would she have been awarded $40k if she had killed someone while driving drunk? What has come over our society that we feel we have to settle these issues regarding “law breakers” with a slap on the wrist and a trip to the bank? How many times does an innocent person have to be killed by a “DRUNK” before we as a country start holding these people accountable for their actions. We stop people from smoking because second hand smoke kills. What about alcohol and the bodies it has collected. My opinion she should have been incarcerated!

I watched the interview this morning with the mother of the Florida boy set on fire by 5 boys.
Maybe this observation comes from watching Chicago TV and hearing about all the children killing children but why not have these criminals sit in the room of the burnt boy or watch an autopsy, something to make an impression on what they did. How they changed the life of an entire family.

I am watching the Today show right now and I got really upset with Ann Curry while interviewing Suzzane Sommers about her new book “Knockout”. She hardly let her get a word in edgewise and was more interested in discrediting one of the doctors that Suzanne I believe wrote about in her book , than hearing about what the book is about. She may not care about hearing what Suzanne has to say, especially if she is talking about alternative medicine, but for those who have cancer or someone they love has cancer, and arerunnning out of options, it is very important to here of any new treatments that may be out there. I thought it was very rude to cut Suzanne short like that, but I have noticed that you guys do that alot to most if not all of the people that are on your show. I don’t know why you guys just try putting less people in your show and give the ones that are on your show sufficient time to finish talking or doing what it is they’re doing on the show. As I said before, I think it is very rude to do this to the people that come on your show and then you guys waste alot of time in between segments talking about nothing. And, as long as I am here complaing about this, I may as well talk bout something else that has bugged me for awhile - Ann Curry’s hair. Please get yourself a more defined hairstyle! Your hair , most of the time, looks messy or unkempt. If Meridith can have a smooth, stylish hairdo, why can’t you. Fix your hair Ann. And, give Suzzane an apology and another segment!

I only flip over to the Today show during the commercials on Fox & Friends. Matt, Meredith, and the rest of their co-workers are poor excuses for journalists. Really, was there NO ONE else available to co-anchor the last hour of the Today show? Does Kathy Lee Gifford pay you to allow her to annoy the viewers? She has to be one of the most irritating people on TV. I won’t watch the last hour simply because of her. As I was scrolling through all of the other messages on here I see a recurring complaint about her….she can’t let her co-host get a word in. I am listening to Lester Holt on Saturday morning about the swine flu and how parents should stay home with their children if they are sick. I am so upset because of all the discount stores that support their employees, Wal-Mart is the worst employer ever to give any kind of leave to their employees, should any of their family members get ill. I t is not one of their top priorities [family] as they always claim. They are so full of crap. But then again, every Wal-Mart runs different. I have been a big fan of the Today Show - my preference in the morning… I went through the Katie Couric days and made the transition over to Merridith and now just love her on the show. Towards the end of Katie on the show I became annoyed with her news brief to update viewers - as she would update us and then sit looking at the camera with a really mean look on her face which I always found so ODD that no one told her to stop doing that. Anyway, as I was watching on Halloween with those crazy little Star War characters I couldnt help but see Anne’s disapproving face - it was really quite rude. Anne has always displayed kind of a hard face and personality (not really warm I guess) but I started laughing when I saw how she was acting and I couldn’t watch anything else about the show. While the other comments were just saying, “Oh how funny” or “Oh how cute” (even if fake as could be, Anne was disapproving!) She made a comment about them “stealing the show” and then she ALLOWED them to by being quite rude to and towards them. Mind you, those little guys are actors and should be black balled from NBC because they were unprofessional but she just kind of made everything uneasy and odd with her several remarks and even body language! When she finally came around and took that vodka drink from that little guy I think I peed a little bit in my pants from laughing so hard. I was waiting for her to start spanking him!
I had seen her rude one time with Susanne Sommers and a few other times - I’m just curious if you guys plan on ever replacing her? I think the rest of them are wonderful to watch and I do like Matt kind of being the Leader of them - unlike how it was when Katie was on there. She seemed miserable and maybe she was the senior there so she was calling the shots and possibly making everyone as miserable as they looked. Even Matt, Al and Anne seemed to be uneasy then. Anne just seems maybe like she needs to call Katie Couric and try to be her side-kick over on a station that I don’t even watch!

My favorite morning news program. I’ve been watching you faithfully since 1989. This morning I saw a segment on “texting while driving”. That law will be in effect in oregon January 2010. I t doesn’t affect police officers! I personally have been behind police officers while they are on their computers, weaving all over the road! It’s completely insane that lawmakers would allow this to continue! But if you are not a police officer, you will be fined heavily. Why is it aceptable for police officers to endanger our lives just as people texting but not be punished? I am a texter but I never text or talk on my phone while driving. I don’t even like to mess with the cd player while driving! I wonder if this is happening in other states as well. I don’t get it! what is this world coming to?

My wife listens to your show almost every morning and I finally this morning turned it off because of one series of questions. Meridity had a lady soldier who had been shot at Fort Hood along with her mother. Meridith asked the lady, who had been shot in the back, what she thought about all of this, and if she thought it was a drill. People were lying in pools of blood at this time, and Meridith still pressed, did you think this was a drill and at what point did you realize it was real. I personally feel that Meridth is completely out of touch, and is also very ignorant in considering what to ask, and whether these questions at STUPID!!! I tolerate the media only, and am one of those individuals who will only listen to FOX news. This situation with Meridith only reinforces that stance. The simple fact that Meridith is allowed to do media coverage, proves that it is still legal to be STUPID in this country. She should apologize to every American Soldier for her lack of objectivity and general common sense, and be forced to do it on the air, just before being fired!!!!

Hey Margie, try using your computer for something other than disinformation. We get enough of that from the Republicans and the health care and medical insurance lobbies. You talk about the dumbing down of America. Have you done YOUR research? Not so much on the motivations of the Republican leadership, they’re just the same bunch of idiots who nearly destroyed the “world” economy. If they had a solution for our present condition why didn’t they use it. Because they don’t! Don’t think for a minute that they’re representing our best interest. They represent their own interest and the interest of those same health care and medical insurance lobbies who fund their re-elections. This industry has raped our nation for years and now that Americans have another opportunity to have affordable health care they are spending millions to make sure it doesn’t happen. Take my word for it, if the new heath care package was going to cost the outrageous figures they’re reporting, you wouldn’t hear a peep from them. After all, who do you THINK will benefit. They will! 3 MILLION marched on Washington Mall? Who do yo work for?

I find it interesting that there has been nothing negative about the women Tiger Woods had affairs with. All of these women knew he was married, which makes what they did no better than what he did. If the media is going to take a moral stance on Tiger Woods for cheating on his wife they also need to vilify the women, as the story goes it takes two. Everyone is talking about Tiger Woods statement to the public but I have seen nothing from these women apologizing to Tiger Woods Wife for
there behavior, and nobody sames to care, which is a far greater statement of our society today then anything else.

I, for one, am tired of the Tiger Woods story. This is nothing more than tabloid ranting and I expect the Today Show to do better. Woods has not violated any laws that I know of. It seems to me that the Media has found him guilty of infidelity. So what!
The Today Show airs this story and forgets that a war is on and our economic situation is more than serious. Leave Mr. & Mrs. Woods alone and let them deal with their problems on their on please.
How about airing about our corrupt politicians? Oh, I forgot, no one cares about that either.

Please have a professional work with Jenna Bush to improve her on-air presence. It’s literally painful to watch her opening and closing statements - she’s clearly reading the teleprompter and appears incredibly uncomfortable and stilted. Nothing spontaneous or natural about her. Her actual segments are fine; she just needs to loosen up in the studio!

When are we going to report on what’s really going on in America?
For a moment there back in November I thought America just might be turning the corner with regards to racism in American with the election of Obama. Well, we haven’t turned any corners let alone approached any corners. Sure, there are many of us who are sick and tired of this blight on our society but we haven’t the fortitude to stick it out when the media, haters and tea bag crowd get started doing any and all that they can to stop and/or discredit this administration for better or worse. This speaks volumes to our enemies. It says we are a weak people who can be taken down by anyone who can pull a trigger or make a pipe bomb. Hey, our generals have no respect for their commander and chief so how long can we expect those who they lead to continue to respect them. Our media reports in such a way as to promote decent against this administration. Our people attend presidential forums wearing side arms in plain sight. Talk about totally unheard of. They call themselves the “Real Americans”. No doubt they are the descends of the same murderers who committed genocide on whole nations of our original inhabitants so they could steal the land from them. You’ve even had some of the tea party gullible on various broadcasts to get their take on what they meant when they said this administration was trying to change our government from what the forefathers intended. Needles to say that was revealing. Come on! Let’s finally get it out there. The president is a black man and we can’t stand it. Yes, it’s that that old bugaboo, the “race card”. Oh sure, we don’t want to discuss it and we have a million ways of not admitting it, but there it is. Yes, we still have the sickness no matter how we dress it up. How do I know my diagnosis is correct? Because as a people and media we avoid it like the plague for fear that our own actions and speech be called into question. Sure it’s easier poo poo his every effort, but who are we really hurting? Now that’s sick.

Today is Jan. 7, 2010 already! I enjoy watching the Today Show. I am about the same age as MMA&A but suffer from a devastating, chronic illness so am forced to spend much of my life in bed. I admit I envy each one of you on the show, being able to get out of bed and perform your job, exercise, travel (even across time zones which would kill me), and have a full personal life.
Wow, I have held this in for a long time, but I am writing because Nancy Snyderman simply annoys me. I have a very hard time stomaching her ‘my way or the highway,’ holier-than-thou attitudes. She promotes science as a god-like persona. I can say this without bias because when I was well, I used to be an RN, so I understand the importance of science, research and large studies. However, her comments about different topics are dogmatic, demeaning, dismissive, and put downs. Her comments about the mammogram directives (controversial over age 50 recommendations) were the most shocking to me - poor Hoda and all the other women under age 50 whose cancers were detected by mammograms! They are not ‘anecdotal’ as Dr. Snyderman stated. (Look up the definition of acecdotal Dr. Snyderman). And I agree with the previous commenter who was offended by Dr. Snyderman’s statement about dreading sitting on the plane thinking that an obese person might sit by her because of body odor (or similar to that). I was offended. I used to have a BMI within normal limits until I became so sick and placed on steroid & hormone replacements. In the last year I have gained 35 pounds, and never weighed this much. It saddens me greatly but I have no other option. So that tells me that if Dr. Snyderman saw me coming towards her on a plane, that she would think I stink??? I just can’t take her anymore. I bathe daily, and use light powders and very ultra light mist of fragrance and deodorants because I realize from my working as a nurse that anyone (obese or thin) can smell. Is she the very best or only medical consultant that NBC can use on the Today Show? I also agree with all the comments about Kathy Lee’s nonstop mouth action - I don’t watch the last hour - heads up Today Show advertisers!!

I am curious - has Matt Lauer ever refused to do a report because it was ridiculous and unworthy of further acknowledgement? He seems to be a serious reporter and right now (my TV is off because of it), he is interviewing that stupid “balloon boy” father who is apparently saying the incident wasn’t planned. Really, who cares, and who cares to see that man’s face again. Definitely not worthy of The Today Show’s attention. Let GMA do it!

I agree with everyone here who can’t stand the banners at the bottom of the screen. They are way too big, cover up the video, are annoying and distracting with all the movement and colors. These banners were obviously designed by someone who knows nothing about their job and approved by someone that knows even less.

I will give the show a bit more time to correct this MISTAKE before I make the full time switch to FOX. Their banner works well and the news is much better in terms of objective content and presentation.

I am appalled about the screen time given to the families of the college students missing in the Hotel in Haiti. Their frustration with our government is very misplaced. The audicity to think that our government should send anything needed to find their daughters and faculty ahead of the hundreds of thousands of Haitians needing help is extremely arrogant. I have daughers who went on mission trips, I want/wanted them to be safe. However their negative actions and words help no one but put themselves and their attitude toward the US government and Haitian people in a negative and meaningless light. They need to get themselves into a better place. This posting needs to get to the the Today show programming. I was appalled yesterday and am appalled today that the parents were on again with their angry, beyond frustrated remarks. These parents have had more than enough air time. Hopefully we don’t have to see, or hear, them again!

I just listened once again to the pleas of the families of the people trapped in the Montana hotel in Hatti. It infuriates me because here in Houston, Texas we are being told that the many search and rescue workers that have been waiting for days at Ellington air field with tons of supplies and equipment for rescuing many people in Hatti have been told to go home their services are not needed. This is what FEMA has ordered. Please, note that these people are highly trained for just such situations as this at Texas A&M University. People come from all over the world to A&M for special training in rescue and recovery.

    Why is FEMA doing this?

    Please, investigate this.

I have watched nbc5 daily since its inception. I remember Matt Lauer’s first day and before his arrival. I wish to congratulate Matt, Al and Ann for many years of information and enjoyment and recently Meredith. I had the pleasure of seeing Matt in person when he visited nbc5 in Chicago and enjoyed exchanging; ” God bless you’s with him as he was leaving. He is such a humble, descent person. I usually visit NYC in June and November. After 37 yrs at the most prestigious hospital in Chgo working extremely hard I give myself this gift. My question is; what time is a good time to arrive at nbc5 for the show outside the window in order to see the staff and the guests? I plan to return soon. GOD BLESS all of you.

I have been watching and enjoying the coverage of the Winter Olympics. It has been very exciting to see the American team doing so well. Your inteviews of the the Olympic medalists have provided insight on who they are and the challenges they have faced to arrive at this great time in their lives. Including the parents was a nice touch as well. What I have not seen is an substantial interview of Shani Davis and his achievements.
He is the first African American to win two gold medals at the Winter Olympics. Has there been one? Will there be one?

J, I agree 100% and emailed the show a long time ago. One would have thought that the Von girl, the ice skater and the snow boarder were the only ones from the US at the Olympics. But, I knew they would do a story about Shani once he didn’t get the other Gold this past weekend. Also, what happened to meeting with/interviewing the victim’s families of the college professors killed last week - were they minorities? Who was killed when the idiot flew the plane into the office building that killed an IRS employee - was one a minority? Come on TODAY Show, its FEBRUARY, Black History Month, only 28 days, give them a break and share some news about them. Please don’t make Meredith do any, she isn’t good at interviewing and Al shouldn’t have to represent them all the time.

    Thanks.

I love the today show. However, I am most annoyed when your hosts are interviewing a guest. The topics are so varied and fun and I am very interested, WHEN I can hear the guest speak. The hosts always end up talking over top the guest, and it is very difficult to hear the information the guest is trying to provide. I cannot tell you how much this annoys me and others I have spoken to. Celebrities, chefs, whoever. I have seen many times watching your show the guest’s faces. You can see their irritation plainly and clearly.
I would say, just shut them up for a minute, but I know it isn’t going to happen. So, sadly, I have decided that I will no longer have the Today show as part of my morning routine. I simply do not like 1/2 information and that is about all I get from your guests.

I can’t believe NBC would give a person like Laura Ingram a forum to vent her anger against the media.Blaming them for all the mean antics the republicans spout off about.Never once mentioning FOX news and the evil they send out everyday. Have the people forgot how the republicans stole the presidency from
Al Gore and how they smeared John Kerry with all those lies. Now their doing the same thing to our President. Their very good at this! Wake Up Everybody!! They show our President such disrespect by calling him Mr Obama instead of President Obama. Thats just one of their hateful ways. I wish Matt Lauer would have pulled the plug on her . Just watched the telephone interview with a female passenger on the infamous (awesome!) Steven Slater flight. Do people wonder why he did what he did? She said he had a fresh cut on his head, I assume from the baggage, or overhead bin incident, and this stupid woman is worried about getting a Clorox wipe for some coffee on her feet!!! She said he seemed out of sorts then.Personally I think he should have opened the shoot then and jumped off. This is exactly what people that work with the general public have to put up with. “Uh…excuse me, I understand that you are bleeding from your head, but its imperative that I get a Clorox wipe.” Get real!

I worked for two major airlines (first TWA then Continental) from the years 1964 to 1984 and it always amazed me that perfectly normsl business people became rude & beligerent the moment they stepped thru the door of the airport. I worked the ticket counter and departure gates in the days when flying was more “refined” but that didn’t stop passengers from abusing the people behind the counter because they knew we could not respond because the customer was always right. I have been cursed out because it was snowing & an airport was closed, touched inappropriate because after all only loose women worked for airlines. I don’t necessarily agree with how Steven Slater handled the situation but I definitely understand his frustration. There is a safety reason why passengers are told to remain in their seats until the aircraft is parked at the gate. There is a lot of stop & go once you land in the taxi process until you are SAFELY at the gate.

While watching the show this morning, you aired a small piece about the National Parks being admission free this coming Saturday. You showed pictures of the different parks and included a picture of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance sign. By showing that picture you mislead people to believe there is an entrance fee normally. This park is the ONLY national park without a fee. I am fortunate enough to live near this park and enjoy it on a daily basis. It is the most visited national park in the country and I believe one of the reasons for that fact is because it is free.

I want to give kudos to Matt for not smacking Dina Lohan upside her head during his interview with her this morning. That woman is in such denial about her daughter and was on the defensive even during the camera shots of her prior to the interview. You confirmed for me what a nut job she really is and vindictive. If I was her I’d be careful about slamming a judge on national television and making comments about her exhusband. Did she ever actually answer any of his questions other than correct him on the fact she says Lindsay has been in rehab twice not four times, which is well known this is her fourth stint. I feel bad for Lindsay. My daughters can come to me for sound advice, not be told what they want to hear all the time.

I want to say that I have watched the TODAY SHOW for probably the past 20 or so years. I simply LOVE IT and all of it’s content. I was a little concerned and unhappy though when Ann Curry did not get the key position of the opening spot after Katy C. left the show. However I seem to be the only one still whining because Ann sure has not been bothered by it at all. She is one of the BEST NEWS Anchor people on the planet. I simply love her and every moment she is on. She has proven herself to not only be a super great reporter but seems to be called upon quite often to serve on many of the major news reporting tasks around the Globe. She has shown her excellent talent and abilities for reporting her findings in the SUPER-GREAT fashion that she is so well-suited for. I must now though recognize my 2nd most loved reporter on the TODAY SHOW as being Mr. Carl “K”. I do not know where he is working when he is not working on this show but someone needs to offer him a PERMANENT job on TODAY. I sure do love watching and listening to him each time he is on. He too is is a GREAT reporter and is second only to Mr. David Gregory. Now that is not to be taken lightly. He has an addictive smile and is also a great addition to the Today Show AM team. I did not want to ruin his last name by trying to spell it so I simply call him my Carl”K”. You guys are simply the best news source for me and I feel a bit un-dressed for my day when I miss the first hour of the Today Show each and every morning.

I have witnessed the changes in the show format, and its surroundings, not to mention the faces and places you have reported from. I can only say KEEP IT UP!! and you will never become a boaring show for me. Actually I some times get a little antsy waiting for some of the promised segments to show. But I mainly wanted to take this time to say a WARM and WELL DESERVED THANKS to all of you at TODAY for the huge impact you have awarded me in watching you each and every AM MORNING day. Listen guys you do need to make every effort to keep Mr. Carl “K” on so I can be on point to rise at 6am and getting myself ready for my day by watching the TODAY SHOW. Go ahead amd assign him some of those Global assignments provided to Ann and Matt so I can gain more global news and updates.

I quess I’m done for now with my fan reporting, but I cannot leave without recognizing a few others. I watched Natalie as she wore those devinely georgeous gowns at the Miss Universe Pageant and show last week. I also enjoyed her duties on that show about the married couples solving their disagreements. (oops I forgot the name of it) sorry. She an excellent TV Personality no matter where she is serving. You all better watch out or she will be offered some big bucks to represent some new show on another channel soon. I certainly do not want to sign-off without saying a HAPPY HELLO to that DYNAMIC DUO, or is it THE ODD COUPLE (Al AND Matt). THESE ARE TWO OF THE HAPPIEST MARRIED MEN /with children ON THE EARTH. (smile). They too are superb and most honored for their roles on my favorite morning show, THE TODAY SHOW. THANKS for ALL YOU DO to make MY DAY SPECIAL each and every day. Which reminds me I forgot my all-time favorite WEEK-ENDER Mr. Lester Holt. THANKS GUYS.

I haven’t tuned in for the Hoda and kathi Lee segment in a very long time but did this morning to see if anything had changed..STILL Kathi Lee is running her mouth and has nothing important to say, STILL interupting people with her babbeling, STILL berating Hoda with her nasty comments and STILL that awful cackeling laugh. Had to change the channel to something else.
I would have thought by now, NBC would have been replaced her with someone with something relevant to offer and and isn’t always trying to steal what ever air time she feels the need to give herself. She’s an embarrassment to the segment

Hoda, you’re wonderful, polite and a real joy to watch and listen to….sorry that I can’t sit and watch your segment as long as “Chatty Kathi” remains on the show, I really miss watching YOU.
